15-20 mins to load (with MSFS 2020 Map Enhancement)

No idea but I uninstalled GSX because of how long MSFS was taking to load.

It's taking me an average of 2 minutes to load into MSFS. I typically keep my CF add-on count to around ten mods at any given time. I have maybe 15 or so MP add-ons as well but they do not reside in the CF. I also do not currently use the GSX mod.

After some troubleshooting different mods, I have found excluding MSFS 2020 Map Enhancement has cut the load times in half.

I've read that one can add a lot of time. Now you know what it is at least :)

Without it the sim is far too bright. I cannot play this without using the map enhancement with the brightness turned down 12%.

You can load MSFS 2020 Map Enhancement after main menu is loaded. It displays a warning mod may not work correctly if not pre-loaded but it works fine for me.

I need to do more testing on this mod since it's also warned by anti-virus app. Do you run GSX Pro as well and do you experience more server disconnections with the mod (not GSX Pro) running?

I do not use GSX pro. I have not notice any increase in server disconnects while using the map enhancement.

It can take me 2-4 minutes, but the other day it seemed stuck.>I certainly didn't want to wait for 20 minutes when I'm nut sure if its locked up or something. It closed the sim, restarted my computer and the next time round it went back to my normal load times.
Who knows why/what/how but at least it was "normal" again.

I can load into Main Menu in 7 mins without MSFS 2020 Map Enhancement - with GSX Pro & FSLTL AI Injector. Scenery graphics is brighter and slightly less detailed below 10,000 feet.

I didn't play last night, and now it's taking forever to load to main menu - blue progress bar is halfway for over 10 mins

Anyone having similar issues since 2024 was launched yesterday? Pls don't tell me Asobo lent some server resources to 2024?

I bet they probably did. They certainly ramped up server capacity. It had to come from somewhere, though that doesn't necessarily mean they took from 2020. But there's probably many thousands fewer players there now, so it would make a certain sense.

Took 8 mins to load to Main menu today which is 1 min more than normal. It's more likely 2024 is using some of 2020's server resources to stop the deluge of refunds.

Found 4-5 simmers in Tokyo last night and 2 others in Paris today.
