How advanced is the the PMDG 737-800?
I’m thinking of getting the PMDG 737-800 on my Xbox soon but I’m not sure how advanced it is compared to the Asobo or iniBuilds A320neos. Could I watch a few YT videos and be confident flying it or would I need more practice??

No more advanced really. Just need to learn how to start up by adding APU BLEED switch and START to turn knob to Left. It uses a proper LNAV & VNAV button. Easy really.

Is there any good videos on YT, like full flight tutorials style or any basics videos?
The PMDG B737-800 is very nice to fly and there is much to learn, so take your time. Search the net for PMDG 737 800 videos, you will find a lot. For checklist look here: https://de.flightsim.to/file/32626/pmdg-737-guide-checklists-procedures

This is a mod for an in game checklist. I’m on Xbox so I don’t have access to this. Is there a PDF version I can download to my computer and save?

I have the 737-600 and it's my favorite. It will burden your computer's resources a bit but it's worth it. The user documentation includes a step by step flight which helped me immensely.

This is no mod! You can download this checklist exactly on this site I gave you. It's in fully pdf format. I use it and have printed it out.
Flying the PMDG 737 is easy enough. Programming it is a bear. It's pretty much study-level.
It's all easy honestly. It even provides us the ILS in T/O but we enter this for both Modules manually. It is also easy for AUTOLAND as you activate both AP 1 & 2 once APR is established. The A310 was actually slightly more tricky as AP functions do not work unless you have entered FUEL PRED figures.

This is a tricky question to answer since there are two major considerations.

Firstly. The addon itself isn't really all that hard to fly on the most basic level. If you just want to hop in the aircraft while it is already in the air and generally mess around with it, you won't have a lot of problems with the most basic, surface level flying. If you are looking to just fly very casually, PMDG addons might be a bit overkill since they are generally made for players looking to follow more realistic procedures/checklists.

The last consideration is flight planning. As stated before. The basic flight of the addon isn't really difficult but if you want to do a relatively realistic flight, you are going to get into route planning and inputting data into the FMC. Likewise. You will need to learn the process involved in operating the autopilot panel since a lot of the "flying" you do will be through that panel.

To be blunt. if you are looking for something you can learn with just a couple of Youtube videos, the airliners that come with FS2020 are probably going to be more useful to you.

Honestly, it'll blow your mind how easy it is as you will not be getting any BUG to make you wonder what you are doing wrong. It is that easy. Just be aware Boeing uses another method to clear DISCS which is by selecting the one below and then next to the DISC. It's that easy.

I’m going to be using it for ‘realistic’ flying. For example programming the MCDU, using autopilot, ILS landings etc. Is there any difference between the Airbus’ AP system to Boeings AP system as you mentioned I would need to learn it. Is there any good ‘full flight’ tutorial videos you would recommend?
