Why is the iniBuilds A320neo not descending?
I’m currently mid flight needing to descend but when I scroll the altitude wheel and confirm the altitude I want to go to it doesn’t do anything. It won’t descend and the PFD doesn’t say anything. Is there something in the MCDU I need to change? Thanks

OH GREAT - another BUG is ILS is not correct to the actual one.
VVDN RW35L = 110.5 not 108.5

It could be the method I used to Plan the Flight as I entered DEP/ARR in WORLD MAP for the ATC to follow correct Runways but I selected AUTOMATIC as the ARR Approach instead as I had used SIMBRIEF which IMPORTED into EFB but not into the MCDU. Even though the INIBUILDS Folder had been selected for the Download Folder for Auto-Downloader to find. Some experimenting to be done as this was using the specific A320 NEO V2 Profile for SIMBRIEF. Regardless having the correct Runway Manually selected chose the wrong Frequency. Usually this happens before your get airborne but loads correctly during Flight.

*I see they added the Microsoft A320NEO Folder but not labelled it V2 so that folder needs adding a "Flightplan" Folder for this version.

Fixed it loading SIMBRIEF into MCDU once the path was set for it's Downloader again plus then enter into the DEP/ARR as CoRoute does not work (it does on PMDG 737s).

Also fixed entering ILS Manually by needing "/110.5" as the number alone does not work.
Besides this, the WORLD MAP routes into VVDN are now same as the bloody UK Approaches... DIRECTLY OVER THE AIRPORT THEN DO A 180 TURN....

It worked for me from 22,000ft to DESCEND. It goes out of MANAGED when at set ALT is reached so needs Top Arrow each time when that is not lit but can follow the setting when changing to not need pressed again if it is still lit. CONSTRAINTS are being ignored although we can also set "/AFL220" (to be above) or "/BFL220" (to be above). It just does not seem to be following what it has though.
Don’t worry if you cant, but could you show me a video of how to descend properly and in the correct way, so I can practice. I’m might just be easier showing in video form, as I’m a bit of a rookie. Thanks very much for your help so far!!

Here's a detailed Flight by Emanuel (737NG Driver now trained as A330). One thing I never did was add PACKS seen at 32:30 as are on as default (set off for T/O). Be sure you clicked CG% in FUEL PRED and complete all info you can. V speeds can be transferred from EFB by the lower right button on Takeoff Page having used the SEND TO prior.
I never knew about the FREE EXPANSION CABIN seen at 36:30
DESCENT is seen at 47:30 He presses at top of knob for MANAGED ALT after setting 10,000ft as you see an Up Arrow.

*At 49:10 he finds a BUG in VNAV as we also found as I had similar after inputting CONSTRAINTS during Flight. He reverts to SELECTED at 54:00

Thanks for the video! If just asking how do I pull up, down etc with the mouse on Xbox. I play on Xbox and the cursor doesn’t tell you how to pull up, down etc. So I don’t know what button I should press.
I think there are BINDS you can set for this in CONTROLS.
Do you know which binds these are so I can search for them?? Thanks very much

I do not use the MODEN COCKPIT UI. You must go into CONTROLS OPTIONS, MOUSE, try out the BINDS for COCKPIT INTERACTION - PRIMARY, SECONDARY, TERTIARY, & INCREASE & DECREASE. For LEGACY Mode we click the Mouse Pointer at the Top OR Bottom Knob for a UP/DOWN ARROW to show for a Push & Pull.
Just had same issue in A330-900. The reason here was AUTO-THRUST was not ON by Default which it usually is for others. So like you said about CL Mode, it that is not set and CL also then it won't go to THRUST-IDLE (shown on PFD). However, that vid I posted had the same issue we had for the A320 V2 as his did not want to Descend at first. It took a while to follow and then it shown THRUST-IDLE as he mentioned and even in the correct Modes.
I have found a way, although it is very unrealistic - I turned of AP1 and A/THR and put the nose down until I reached -500 VS then put the AP1 and A/THR back on. But I would stop descending to the altitude it chose!
Another problem on the A320neo V2 is that when I create the flight plan into the MCDU it’s all fine until I CLR the discontinuity. There is now no waypoints at all between for example EKLA1Y (which is about 20NM from EGCC) and the start of descent into LFPG. How do I get these waypoints that are suggested from SimBrief for the cruise.

Just try toggling AUTOTHRUST. It might even begin to work again after another Flight or have a delay to react to state "THRUST-IDLE".

SIMBRIEF may not add SIDS/STARS nor RUNWAYS so add those yourself. You can either keep the DISC. and fly to the APPROACH manually as IRL, or CLEAR it as you say and it will join up. If you can not see the exact Waypoints then select the closest match. You can STEP through your FP on the MFD by using PLAN knob, use F-PLN on MCDU and step through via UP/DOWN and adjust Range Knob to suit.

Another situation I found but in the A330-900 was it was default on HDG Mode and shows a dashed line for the GPS. This was usually only used to show you have a DISC. but now that is not the case. It needed to press HDG UP ARROW to go OFF and revert to GPS. It is often unclear which way these DEVS make Managed & Selected as I think some are not the same way around e.g. for Speed; Heading; Alt.

ALSO remember it is reading CONSTRAINTS for both Alt & Speed which you should be setting before flying. Changing this during Flight can work but may also confuse it as it has to Calculate the Descent Rate so be sure you did press CG% & BLOCK FUEL in FUEL PRED for this having already done calcs in EFB, then SENT, then REQUESTED into PERF T/O .
So if it does not Descend straight away or after 1min then switch AUTOTHRTUST OFF and drop THRUST to IDLE MANUALLY.

If I’m right, you would clear the discontinuity and you would fly without any waypoints until the “FF” waypoint, but how would you know when to start descending. Would ATC tell you? If that’s the case does the stock ATC tell you? Or just something like VatSim? If I don’t put the constraints in for every waypoint will that have an effect also if I don’t put the speed constraints will that also have an effect. I will keep watching videos and keep learning but thank you for your detailed help!!
Going off topic a bit, but I’m thinking of getting the PMDG 737-800 on my Xbox. Is it the same as the iniBuilds A320neo in terms of being ‘advanced’. Will the PMDG 738 import the FL-PLAN like the ASOBO A320neo into the plane etc..
