Is premium deluxe worth it?
I see that premium deluxe has the 787 which one of my most favorite aircraft but I am wondering if it is really worth double the price of the base game. Or should I wait for a sale to pick it up?

In my opinion it’s worth it, I would wait for more people to reply tho to see if they also think it’s worth it. Waiting for a sale or buying right now is a personal choice.

I understand your question to be, "Is the 787 worth $60?" I searched for a review of the 787 and landed in the AVSIM forums where the discussion is on this very same topic:
https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/638500-is-msfs-premium-deluxe-worth-it/

I upgraded from Standard to Premium Deluxe primarily to get the Cessna C172 classic, and I'll warn against the 'Standard now and upgrade later' route because it is more expensive to do it that way. I bought both Standard and the Premium Deluxe upgrade on sale though, so in the end I paid just about what the regular price is for buying Premium Deluxe from the start. If you can wait for a sale to buy the whole game at once, that is the cheapest option. But if you don't want to wait, buying everything now at once is better than doing it in stages.

There is also an argument for not buying this version of MSFS at all because the next version, MSFS 2024, will release sometime this year. That makes for a tough choice because it seems that current owners won't be credited for or upgraded to the next version. Even Marketplace third-party purchases haven't been explained within the transition, only that most should be compatible with MSFS 2024.

Personally I enjoy flying the current MSFS and I think I'll be able to put off moving to MSFS 2024 for a long while as it 'teeths' and gets system updates.

Absolutely worth it if you want some mid level aircraft that actually have more real capabilities in navigation than even the much vaunted PMDG 737. The 787, 747, and Longitude actually have some of the most detailed navigation capabilities available in any sim now. And the Cirrus SR-22 is the only decent fidelity one available anywhere. So you're actually getting expanded airports in a few spots, a steam gauge C-172, a bunch of jets you can't get anywhere else, and also discounts on the cool Asobo legacy/classic aircraft.
