Air France Flight 447 is perhaps the most disastrous case of a frozen pitot.

Chances are in an XCub even if the pitot does freeze you will be okay. If the carburetor freezes, your engine will seize and you will get some glider practice.

I wish I had known that last night while I was hand flying an iced up X Cub for an hour+
The airframe eventually defrosted but the pitot never truly came back for the rest of the flight.
Oh well. One more thing to bind to the stream deck to stop me forgetting.
