Stuck after press any key to continue

Did the steam download and then start the game. After the intro's I get a screen with the TBM flying away from an airport and it says press any key to continue. After a bit a thin red bar starts to slowly go across the screen and at about 80% it just stops. I have let it set for a couple hours and it won't go beyond that point no matter how many times I restart. I am fully updated on drivers and plenty of room on the drive.

Navigate to your FlightSimulator.exe, right click it and under properties/compatibility choose Run as Administrator. That's worked for some people.

The steam download is only the installer/launcher. After you download that and start up the "game" it then has to download the 100GB of the game from Microsoft.

I installed several days ago. It still will not, and never has even once advanced from the "Press any key" window no matter how many keys I press.

But I don't care because it has always 100% of the time advanced when I just clicked a mouse at the screen. I think the guy who made that "press any key" sign was the only idiot working at Asobo. It should have said, "Click any mouse button".
