I assume you mean the scenery, mostly?

I did a lot of hours with offline scenery. It actually looks really good. I posted a few screenshots early on. If you never been to a place before, the offline scenery will still give you a great overall sense of the region. if you are looking for your house, well not so good for that.

Depending on your internet connection, things may actually look better offline.

People often confuse what the online streaming does and what the offline system has. Offline scenery still has the entire world, it just won't have as accurate details. Building positions, heights and specific textures may not exist. But that doesn't mean offline starts with low quality, blurry textures.

The low quality blurry textures are actually something you see online, depending on the location and your internet connection.

I will try to get some more screens later. Need to get to work for a bit. Hope this helps.

If you don't plan to fly close to the ground looking for details, offline will be perfectly fine

Do you have limited or capped internet? I find online doesn't really use much bandwidth. Thanks for the comparison pictures guild.

Here are some more offline shots so we can go around the globe a bit. It would be too much to compare each one with and without data but at least we can see the offline is more than merely serviceable. Its very nice.

So far online streaming hasn't used up a lot of bandwidth for me. But it does behave oddly sometimes. (not loading stuff properly and looking all jank)

But if for some reason online isn't an option for someone, they shouldn't be put off. The sim still looks great.

the position of the trees change, but the tree models are the same. as you can see from the NY comparison stuff shuffles around a bit online vs offline.

yes buildings have more accurate colors and different textures online. like a stadium will be found offline with a white roof, but online it will be blue. Stuff like that.
