FS2020 not suitable for VATSIM. Here is why

FS2020 is imo not compatible with VATSIM. None of the CDMU are working properly. You cannot even adjust your approach route in the FMC. Delete function is not working. FS2020 proudly announced that you can use FS2020 within VATSIM. Well, you can't. If RL ATC gives another RWY and you need to adjust your FlightPlan you simple cannot adjust your approach route.

As an example. Create a route in your FMC from EDDH to EHAM. Here is the route : EDDH/15 WSN1D WSN N125 EEL EEL1A EHAM/18R. When you choose as ARRival ILS 18R EEL1A STAR, ARTIP TRANS it's getting al wonky. You would like to DELETE the SPL entry and put EH620 in place. So after ARTIP go straight to EH620. You would get kicked from the VATSIM network if you cannot alter your route. I'm using the 747-8 and A320NEO as reference planes.

Does anyone has a work around? Do serious simmers use FS2020 to fly on the VATSIM network? I'm really curious about your experience. Please let me know.

It was very hard for me to understand all the workarounds around these problems with CDMUs. CDMUs certainly have problems especially in terms of editing and deleting legs of route etc. I had a lot of troubles just trying to figure out how to fly from UUDD to UUEE (two Moscow airports). God, in certain conditions, if you add one waypoint, change your camera view and change it back, the game crashes lol.
But smh I've learned how to avoid these problems and don't have any troubles creating my route.

These problems are serious though and need to be addressed. I believe that it is not that hard to fix them though, so I think, that they will be fixed at some point. There is no excuse for such ♥♥♥♥

I will try to create your route on Boeing 747-8i right now and see if I can help

So, I believe, that this SPL entry is somehow required for ILS 18R option. There is also ILS 18R N (which I don't know what exactly means. Approach from north?) Which seems to me as what you need to select.

ILS 18R-N is indeed a much better approach. That's what I was expecting.

IRL you wouldn't fly over EHAM and circle back to approach from the North. VATSIM ATC woud vector you straight from ATRIP to EH620. But for the sake of the discussion. I should be able to delete the SPL entry from the FMC. If I/you can't add or delete waypoints from your FMC it is impossible to fly on the VATSIM network. You cannot follow orders coming from ATC.
