I use to buy 70 series too back in day. I find you upgrade more though.
But again the 80s are insane.
Yeah, I was torn on the 2070 Super but as you said the prices are CRAZY and thats if you can even find something in stock. I'm happy with the performance of the 2070S for $499-530. I see me using it for 2-3 years then upgrading. The CPU should last me a while.

I agree with that as well, there is a LOT of room for optimization with MSFS. It wasn't my only reason to upgrade. My last system was 7 years old and on its second GPU. Just an excuse, but if you have a newer system I would wait for them to optimize things.. But I agree, I don't see why some areas have such bad FPS (like the menu).
I personally really noticed it going from a 1080p monitor to 2K. DCS/MSFS and other games just really bogged down with the increase in pixels on my prior system.
