Car mod
Just an idea. Older versions of FS had mods featuring cars: follow-me cars, police cars, well - cars, like tin boxes with four wheels and an engine. Usually the steering mehtod was that made them unpleasant, and then, the scenery was not really that rewarding...

In Google Earth it does not work well trying to skim directly on the ground and then moving through the streets, the way Earth models threedimensional objects like houses and trees differs very much from the way such structures are featured in FS20. Trees and unrealistically connected structures will obstruct your path time and again, in practically every urban street with trees in it. Or vehicles, growing out of the tarmac like geological monolithes. But in FS20's world, it could work MUCH better. A good car mod with not super-realistic physical finesse, just the basics: gas and brake pedals, steering wheel control, no hysterical car behaviour, and then navigating through the road grid of cities you know - I would like to try that!

Like rolling off the airfield in a very tiny plane, and into town.

Modders, report for duty!

The ground textures look pretty awful even if the most captured cities. Take a plane for a spin on the ground and see how rough it looks in places.

So what, it comes with an SDK and people can MOD it how they want. People always try and compare this "game" to X-Plane saying how much more realistic X-Plane is over FS, but even X-Plane has modded cars available.

At the end of the day FS is a sandbox, everything that the simulator allows is fair game as far as I'm concerned.

If someone figures it out. So be it.

1. The graphics look awful when you're on ground level (besides airports) and collision boxes are all over the place.
2. It's a plane sim not car sim
3. Just use google earth street view

I already own that. I've had that since the beginning when it started as a tech demo.

Nice try though.

And man has legs, not wings.. He is supposed to walk on feet, not to fly in planes.

Read what I wrote. ;) I know the deificits, and I am aware that a car in FS20 does not work perfectly. But better than at the the times of FS02 - bet...? ;)

Even Google Earth in VR, although being overwhelming, is not perfect.

Open world with 1:1 scale would be perfect for truck simulator. Redoing autogen object textures and voila

I want a war mod, so you can have battles in your own neighborhood now that would be great! ;'p

Oh yes...
I spend hours in Instant Scenery building my house, so I could load up the car, and drive to the airport and go flying:)
It’s a nice feature for some!

Oh man, Instant Scenery, that's a blast from the past. Nothing Instant about it. I remember spending hours crafting stuff, but for the life of me I have no recollection of what I built. I think I made improvements in FS9 to local airports. No, wait, I remember now, I put in my apartment building and some local landmarks. I remember watching X-Files on TV and building models. The models were not bad, but some of the X-Files episodes were terrible. How many times can Mulder get trapped by a 1990's-era computer?
