Pause Sometimes Causes Stall/Total Loss of Control
I've noticed a couple of times when I've paused the game (not ESC) to play around with the weather and time of day settings, upon resuming the game, the plane controls suddenly go crazy and I either nosedive or the plane nose rises to being almost vertical. Not only do I then have to get the plane back level, the controls also remain botched for the rest of the flight whereby I have to wrestle with them constantly just to keep the plane steady. If I take my hand off the stick for even a split second, the plane rapidly goes back into its wayward position and there is simply not recovery aside from battling the controls.

I've only experienced this in a couple of smaller planes so far so I'm not sure if it occurs in the larger ones. Anyone else come across this problem? I may try and reproduce it later because I'm wondering if I pause the game with my hand on the stick, whether that resets the controls in someway when I resume so even if the stick is centralised, the game still thinks I'm pushing or pulling on it. That's my theory so far so perhaps when pausing, make sure you don't have your hand controlling anything.

It's bugged, can you reset trim after you unpause?

Don't use the Active Pause.

If you on into Options and pull up "All" under keyboard, you will see there are entries for Pause and Unpause which have no default set. Enter a key combination then use in the cockpit to get a normal "legacy" FS pause which the physics continuing to run.

Yes, Active Pause sometimes causes the aircraft to lose power or shift in some direction for me.

Yeah, active pause causes all kinds of issues for me.

If you need to pause... and your AP is on... Pause.. Turn off your AP, do your thing.
When you come back, you'll need to re-enable and re-setup your AP, but it's better than stalling out. Happened to me and my nephew, over Colorado Springs, CO.
If we go back to FSx Pause mode... well everything stop? Like wind noise, Thunder, Birds Chirping... oh and engines still running?
I did notice, that even the Fuel Cross-over pump ran while paused. I thought it would stop pumping fuel... but it didn't. Which also means, I'm probably still burning 6gph, even if I'm paused.

its not bugged. you're using Active Pause

You need to set keys in the option for ''set pause ON/OFF'' for a real pause

Thanks everyone for the information! If I change it from Active Pause back to standard pause, can I still change the weather and time of day on the fly or can this only be done in AP?
