Cant seem to taxi on training mission
Logitech/Seitek yoke/pedals.. Training missions. The training tart requests I taxi for take off but the 172S goes nowhere. brakes checked and accelerating nicely but nothing.. still sits doing nothing. Visual checking brakes on/off and still nothing. However, come out of training, try a cold and dark and take off, without issues; park brake on/off and taxi without issue. Seems to be only the training missions with yoke and pedals. Anyone else working through the training missions finding similar issues?

I am having the very same issue on the training exercise. Did you resolve this? If so, how did you resolve it?

Not as yet djehuti9311. I've watched others on Pootoob work through the same mission without a hitch but it still doesn't help me. Let me know if you get anywhere.. Are you using the same Logitech Yoke and Pedals? Thanks

I'm not sure if this helps but there is something about the training missions I noticed and that is (I think) you have to follow each instruction even if it is something like "look left" or turn on this switch.. etc.. if a message comes across to do something, and you don't (for example, forget to turn on the beacon if required), the game seems to skip past and won't let you do anything! I found this out in one of the landing tutorials, when I forgot to set something or go through the motions of checking every view (left, right, etc.) when it told me to look... if I did not do that, the plane kept flying and the instructor kept talking about the nice view lol.. It was very frustrating!
Just make sure there isn't some simple instruction you ignored.. I hope that helps.

@voltaj.. thanks very much for your reply friend. I will take another look to see if I've been missing anything at all and will post up my findings. Much appreciated, thanks again.

Yes, I already figured that it wouldn't progress to the next step till I completed the previous; however, the computer instructor indicated that I already completed the previous steps up to the instruction to give some throttle and to control the aircraft via rudder pedals. There is a second patch coming out within a few days. I am hopping the issue may just be a bug in interfacing with some of the equipment I have such as the Saitek Pro Flight Combat Rudder Pedals or the thrustmaster hotas warthog flight stick and throttle.

Saitek pedals are broken on this game.

Check the axis sensitivity. No one else has seemed to notice, but the zero axis starts half way up the pedal. As you press the pedal, the sensitivity of the pedal starts from half way up. When you release the pedal the brakes stay on.

Tried rebinding? Of course they can be made to work. Keep after it, you'll figure it out :cozybethesda:

My Saetek pedals work AOK. It seems like you have them mis-configured. Make sure you have the most recent driver.

I encounter this back with 1.7.14 and just restarted the mission to resolve. Haven't tried training since then though. If you're not able to confirm a controller configuration issue and it's consistently occurring at the start, I'd try Control-E startups, starting the mission with controllers unplugged and using keyboard/mouse to see impact and maybe connecting controllers after you get moving via other control means... just to get by this apparently overwhelming challenge and hoping it doesn't continue to be an issue with future missions.
