AAU2 VNAV & Airline Land experiences
How are you finding AAU2 VNAV behaviors - what are your likes and dislikes?

I have been testing the Kuro B787-8 - so far Dreamliner doesn't veer left or right when nose wheels touches the runway.

Still using AP for Landing will be using the same tech as 737 uses in PMDG. They have a FAIL OPERATIONAL to keep Centre Line by LOCALISER.

What I gave Feedback on was it priorities PITCH before SPEED to CLIMB and SPEED before PITCH to Descend. Even though it warns us to use any SPOILERS for DRAG it should not be slowing a 747 or 787 to 220kts at 26000ft to descend. VNAV is NOT as I expected and due to this issue you will most likely mostly miss your ATC Call Outs which is often a bit later than the T.O.D. thus you find you must use VS at a rate of 3000ft/min to catch up again as you see the MAGENTA VNAV MARKER way below you.

It is NOT good but ASOBO left it to W.T. and they delivered what state it was at. Considering that it was just thrown out for us and MSFS2024 is looming, I do not see any FIX what so ever for anything other than the WHITE DOT they created by sabotage to remove out of declared "Support".

You see, both VNAV, WEATHER RADAR and ATC worked on Release following the exact same CODE as FSX as you mentioned on another thread. That is totally fact. They then tinkered with it to break it and need removing to not cause added FPS hit whilst they do remake it. However, it has now just been thrown out. We are not gonna get WEATHER RADAR nor working ATC as they already announced they got no Plans to. SO they will leave VNAV and the rest BROKE. It may simply be the same in 2024. Why would it be any different.

There's no Fail Passive mode in the B787 - just Fail Operation, and this means K & M users like me is better off leaving AP off for ILS and RNAV landing?

FAIL OP means it does follow the LOC for the Centre Line which is what you have and say about and is the upgraded tech. FAIL PASS is needing you to manually keep it aligned so you have what you need by having FAIL OP to not need input when keeping AP ON.

Do the Dreamliner GEnx twin engines sound similar or quite different to the RR Trent 1000s?

Learned to read DH for ILS landing at VVTS. Anyone noted Weather bitmaps are not displayed in ND in the Dreamliner?

Partially Working 787 Weather ND Bitmap you mentioned. None of it looked like that as Clouds were way above and way below. As soon as I Descended the Radar went clear way before I was near the bottom layer...

Yes, the Plan ND in Kuro B787 V2.1 shows Terrain at low altitudes despite Weather was selected. Pre-AAU2, Weather was displayed in Plan ND when flying HD B78XH.

It wasn't Terrain showing surely as for me I seen that which then went away on descent and then half of the Weather I was about to go through was seen. It was not Terrain therefore. It is just a different concentration of the Weather. I don't mess with the settings on it but that also has a % of what to show as well as Tilt direction (or are those solely on the ATR I forget now).
