You should be binding to controls named things like Throttle Axis, Elevator Axis, Aileron Axis and not Throttle Increase, Throttle Decrease, Elevator Down, Elevator Up and so on.
My father saw in MediaMarkt a Controller like "logitech" or something like that. I told him, that i ve never played such simulators, but there is a good one - MFS :))) he told he would like to fly with this toy :)))
My question to cimmunity: what is the best MFS-Kontroller for this day? I think i can buy for a big TV an extra X-Box, MFS and a controller, but i need to know, which one is the most realistic, is the bested optimized and so on and so forth....
Thank you all in advance:)
If you can provide a short video it would help a lot however you should realise you are talking to pretty much a dummy not a computer wizz.
I was going to but for some reason my recording software is acting up. Manwith Noname covered what I was going to show in a video. Go to Options > Control Options > (click your joystick at the top) > Filter Assigned > Flight Control Surfaces > Primary Flight Control Surfaces.
There three that should be bound are exactly called this...
- Rudder Axis
- Elevator Axis
- Ailerons Axis
Stop being a old curmudgeon and get yourself a new joystick. Live a little for cryin' out loud.
Hah! "Simple". If only...
Anyway, Youtube already got you covered :) I recently saw this about setting up a G940 in MSFS 2020:
https://youtu.be/Gk6b1qSij9U
I quite randomly chanced upon a G940 in a thrift store just a couple of days ago, and didn't quite know what I got. Turns out it's one of them there elusive FFB sticks. Unfortunately, FFB support is equally elusive...
Apparently there's a mod (not free) that adds FFB (XPForce), which also have a 10-minute demo. I tried installing that as well but I have no idea if it worked. It seems I only have a centering spring force. No different than before I installed it afaik. I probably did something wrong. Or maybe the 10-minute demo is not for MSFS 2020, idk. But I have never used a FFB stick before so I don't quite know what to look for. I only tried some casual flying in a Cessna something (default MSFS plane I guess).
Vote for it. You shouldn't have to use third party tools for FFB, among other things.
Dude. Choosing a controller over a game?
-I bought MSFS direct from MS and had to return it because it wouldn't play on a MS PC. "Platform not found" or some crap error. That reverse purchase transaction was hell and soured me to ever doing business with MS again.
-Then I bought XP-11 but the graphics were par for OEM FSX without Ortho or addons. I returned that as well.
-Went back to Steam MSFS and although a legacy of bugs and many days of downloading it has been wonderful in the end.
I still lust after a triple screen with sliding plush racing seat setup. At the very least a dash cut off one of the USAF boneyard pickings and 8ft wraparound screen.
