Wow, I haven't seen the old G940 for years. You must be Indiana Jones, "That belongs in a museum!" But really, that's something that you've kept it for so long. I don't know how well it's supported by Win 10 or 11, but I guess people get it to work.

I have two sources you can look at, see if this helps:

Note: MSFS has no FFB.

I have the G940. It works just like any other joystick for MSFS. Assign functions to its buttons.....

I have the G940 and can not get all the units to work such as throttle will not increase or decrease. joystick will only climb not roll. Is there some secret to setting the controls up correctly

From my last post the links shown in earlier replies here do not solve the problem. Also my 940 works perfectly with X plane. Microsoft should really try to get advice available. Thinking to ask for a refund and get my money back so I can enjoy the flying even though the scenery is not as good as msfs.

No nothing special. I assume you downloaded logitech profiler and calibrated the controls? Once calibrated and buttons and axes work through profiler, you can just go to the controls options in MSFF settings and assign buttons and axes to functions. If your throttle and stick aren't behaving properly double-check that they are assigned to axis functions and also not bound to any other function.

for example, bind throttle to "throttle axis" and not "throttle up" and "throttle down".

I'd love to have that set up.

The worst comes to worst, you could run your joystick through an emulator like SPAD.neXt, although that's not an easy solution.

I have the G940 which works well in x plane. IN msfs I can get the flaps, rudders throttle and brakes to work but not the ailerons to slew or the elevators on the joystick. I have used suggestions from the web as to how to set the units up but I always get the above problems. There was a suggestion to delete the G940 profiler and just use the msfs to recognise the controls, but as it works with x plane I do not understand this idea. is there some simple way to set up the 940 as I am not specialist with these things. MSF and steam do not help nor does LG940 web.

Have tried many suggestions and am now at the point where my joystick will pull up and go left and right but after a small movement just swings hard over so I can not really fly the plane like this. I also note that using the keyboard and numbers I can control the up down left and right a little better but still it is difficult to fly I wonder if when using the g940 should I delete all the presets on the keyboard to prevent conflict or will that give me more problems. I actually think asobo with all their money spent on this have not addressed all the problems with peripheral controls and they should attach importance to these things. People have spent money on what appears to me a substandard and failing product. If xplane which is far superior would just come up with a better scenery system then they would have no competition from mfs and asobo. Why not tie up with google maps.

I think it is best if you play X-Plane.

You don't have your axis correctly bound. If you want me to make a video to help you I can.

I would do the opposite. Keep MSFS and ditch the 940. Why not upgrade your joystick instead. The newer the game/sim is, the less likely that older hardware is going to be supported. Velocity has a new joystick out that is already set up for MSFS. It is basically plug and play.

That would be fantastic but seems a lot of trouble for you. Others suggest I ditch the g940 and buy a new stick. I am too old and far to involved with my g940 to start wasting more money on something I am not sure I would be comfortable with.
