Seems they could spend their time fixing the avionics and other sim level aviation issues than focusing on nonsense like this.

It rly hits different after the movie. What a treat. Love the movies, love the DLC.
Theyve outdone themselves.
edit : But I also understand why "purists" and "harcore simmers" wouldnt really be too excited about it.
It's better than FSX imho (of which I picked up on it's release back in 2006 and stopped using around the time when P3Dv3 was released). I've been using flight sims for a very, very long time and go about my simming in MSFS the same way I do in P3D and XP. It's only a matter of time before I drop P3D and XP in favor for MSFS. I heard some news about the A2A PA-24, I'm super excited for that. Little by little my desire to keep for P3D and XP is slowing diminishing.
Well - I dunno about that - particularly when you have the likes of PMDG saying that their new MSFS aircraft are superior to anything they have done before. I guess it comes down to your definition of "hardcore simulator". But, as far as consumer grade PC based simulators are concerned, it's without doubt about as good as it gets. You can make arguments for XP11, but it would be an exercise in pedantry.
You can in DCS.
