I would personally only recommend XP11 currently because it's on sale, not because of it's better physics or stability. I'm currently flying the SimCoders 172 with a hardware Cessna yoke, rudder pedals and throttle quadrant. It's much, much better than the stock 172 of which it overhauls. In MSFS I enjoy flying the JPLogistics 152 which overhauls the stock 152. It's fair to think that MSFS is lacking in some areas when it comes to physics but this is also true in XP11. Does it ruin my fun? Nah, not really. If one really doesn't want to deal with MSFS then they should wait for XP12.
Microsoft should authorize Steam to refund the double charge. I know because it's happened to me twice. There are many posts on this subject.
Granted, we shouldn't have to research things like this and all the other issues. It shouldn't be that way but that's the reality of triple A gaming these days.
I bought my MSFS from MS store and I have not problems with that. Latest update was hard to VR so now I have used more XPlane. Both sims have own drawbacks.
I'm assuming you've never flown during dusk where shadows get really weird.
I'd say X Plane looks dated, which is to be expected. For its intended users it seems the graphics are more than adequate in the same way iRacing's graphics work fine for its users. And like iRacing, I think XP devs potato a lot of features to keep framerate up. Curious if XP12 will try to compete with the look of MFS20 and require a 3090. We'll see.
Yeah, I mean, discussing something they're interested in. The nerve of some people, amirite?
I'm using a really modest PC that's now 7 years old, Oculus Rift S, Cougar MFDs, UFC, motion platform, buttkicker. I stick to GA, C172, TBM etc, so I'm not pushing the limits.
Yesterday I flew a low level trip through the English Lake District in the the C172 with VR, I was amazed how well the low level turbulence was modelled as I crossed each ridge, the motion platform was really bouncing me up and down. It's an area I've flown many times in my military helicopter flying so I know how bumpy it is in real life.
So if I'm understanding this correctly - and I'd like to think I am - you don't approve of certain posts. And you then click on those posts.
This is going to sound crazy, but hear me out. Perhaps you could - and again, I'm just brainstorming here - perhaps you could not click on posts that don't interest you?
I don't know, I like to think outside the box. It's worth a try. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
But in the meantime my $$$ is on 12.... Having to rely on the internet just to have your sim run ... well that sooooo 1960's IMHO
If you're letting it get to you that bad, then you really should let it go and play something else instead.
