Cessna ASG, please expedite your climb to FL180

My understanding is FL180 is 18k at 29.92.
Now I am just trying IFR, so I'm still learning. But my flight plan was 11k, and a 172S can't get to 18k, and can barely manage 14. So why is it telling me FL180?

Would like to preface this in saying that many, many have problems with stock ATC and it's better to get ATC elsewhere (there are online and offline alternatives). Anyway where are you flying to and from and what is the flight plan?

Salt Lake City to Denver. 11k is a bit low for that flight and had to dodge a couple mountains. I've tried P2ATC but it was so glitchy and even screwed up game functions like using the tool bar. it also crashed easy.
And since it isn't intigrated into FS, it has no affect on AI planes. I keep it offline.

Yeah, I can see where problems may arise in a 172, personally I would want something turbocharged. Have you took a look into VATSIM though? Granted it takes some effort on your part to get into but it's an amazing experience and welcoming to those who are willing to learn. Many, many on the MSFS forums have expressed their satisfaction on it.

I'm not much for doing it online. And yeah, not really the right plane for this region. But it is the one I know best, and mostly worked. I'm now getting "Climb to 18,000 ft."

Now he lets me. I just started pushing up over a mountain. I guess he didn't like my suggestion regarding his mother or that I beat him to it.

The mixture logic in MSFS is off I guess you can say, you are leaning it out though correct? I mean all things considered you're getting pretty high and your climb rate is going to suffer.

I've left mixture auto. At first I didn't know it was. If there is an issue regarding that, I should probably take it manual

Well, first RNAV landing done, I think. The approach altitude information in the g1000 was blank, but I got the altitude indicator on the Approach screen in the primary flight panel.

Interesting about Pilot2ATC crashing. I haven't had any issues with Pilot2ATC and FS2020. Keep in mind that you have to purchase FSUIPC7 in order for Pilot2ATC to work with FS2020. I would be interested to see the routing you tried for your flight from KSLC to KDEN. You would need to use low altitude airways and I don't know if there are any that would clear the mountains at 11,000 ft. The minimum sector altitude restrictions would preclude such a flight at that altitude. A flight play that I regularly fly between those two airports has a minimum altitude of 13,500 so I fly that route at a 16,000 feet or above.

Actually, many functions don't require purchase of FSUIPC7 for some reason. Downloaded from its sight and went straight in without asking for money. I'm guessing the developer has to pay to use it, but maybe not the other end. It could have been related to VR. I love this in VR. And apparently that FSU plugin is rather early development, so issues. It isn't P2ATC crashing, but that plug in.

I forget the exact route, but no you can't do the whole thing at eleven. Most of it yes. I had to slip around two mountains and rise briefly as high as 14. That was the moment he cleared me for 12. It clearly isn't a proper IFR route for a 172. I should have done my first one in nice flat Florida.
I actually canceled IFR until I neared the approach, then returned to IFR.
