Also what was stated above, there is no supersonic flight in the game yet, so sonic boom would be impossible.
but traveling at mach 2 is supersonic or subsonic
You can go as fast as the game can be hacked to make you go: today's aerodynamic simulation in MSFS doesn't take into account supersonic air. Realistically, you should have swept delta wings, swing wings, canards, and/or scissor wings to get the best supersonic performance. These don't matter in MSFS right now. With the aerodynamic update coming in the next days/weeks/months, there should be better air modelling for Mach speeds.
I recall the devs talking about supersonic flight and I believe they teased the possibility of a Concorde. Getting better supersonic modelling is at least something they are looking at.
ok didnt know the sim wasnt ready for super speeds, though a concord will be a welcomed dlc
also the height, the highest i managed was like 43000ft, with the euro fighter i managed 60000ft, seems like i was at the edge of space
Mach2 is supersonic, but they use trickery to make you think your traveling that fast, because like I and others have stated(including the games devs), supersonic flight isnt available in the sim at this time.
