How to move Fs2020 on another drive?
So I had a chance to free up my SSD so I can now transfer Fs2020 from my HDD to SSD. But how do I move it? Because theres like 2 files, the first 1 is from steam and I checked its only 1GB so its not the game files. The second one is the one the game ask you on where it should install the game, so I'm guessing its that one. So do I just like cut the folder from my HDD then paste it to my SSD? So that I dont need to reinstall the whole game just redirect? For the steam files thing of Fs2020 the 1GB do I also move that or it doesnt matter just the game files?

First copy and move the Microsoft Flight Simulator files to your desired location. Mine was located in the default installation folder.

C: / Users / *YOUR USERNAME* / AppData / Roaming / Microsoft Flight Simulator

Copy all these files to your new desired location. I put mine in D: / Games /. Once you have done that. Delete Microsoft Flight Simulator from your C: drive. Once you have deleted your old files, go back into Steam and launch Microsoft Flight Simulator. It will prompt you to reinstall DON'T WORRY. When choosing the Reinstall location choose the 'Packages' folder located in your new Microsoft Flight Simulator folder, in your new hard drive location. My folder location is example below.

D: / Games / Microsoft Flight Simulator / Packages

Once you choose the 'Packages' folder location, Microsoft Flight Simulator will check for updates, reconfigure and check for any missing files. If all done correctly after a few minutes Microsoft Flight Simulator will start running like before.

Hope that helps you avoid downloading 100Gb of data.

Right click on the MSFS program in your Steam library. Then click on "properties" and "local files". That should give you the option to install it on another drive. Cut and Paste won't do it (I don't think) because Steam won't know where to find it.

Be WARNED though - I tried to do that once and instead of simply moving the files (which it does with other Steam titles), instead it deleted the entire program from my source drive and then re-downloaded the entire program again before installing it on my target drive.

I had MSFS files on a HDD then bought an SSD for it. All i did was Drag and Drop the actual game folder onto the new SSD and when I clicked the Steam Play button it automatically picked up where I had moved the folder to on my SSD and started MSFS without any problems. All still working perfectly.

When you got in the game did it like show you like a bar on how big the game is and like redirect it’s directory to your SSD?
