As for verifying don’t do this again because you’ll have to reinstall again. When MSFS is installed if you only see two aircraft go into your profile then content manager and download the rest of the content.
2080ti, 3700xcpu, 16GB ram 3600hz. It was working fine until last night and this morning :(
Is this happening with all airports? I know on my older system I crashed at KSAN twice on loading (once my PC restarted itself). Haven’t tried my new system yet.
I didnt format due to this i do it every now and then any way to clear stuff and as seen it only takes 45 mins to clean install and put all windows back on its pretty quick these days. It just downloading the game again which i had to do any way.
Will do but dont no how long it will take as fs2020 takes longer then all other games to install.
pc specs
ryzen 3600
rx 5700 xt
b450 motherboard
16 gb ram 3200mhz
game installed on hdd
map cache on sdd
ds4 controller with ds4windows program
I removed all unnecessary background process, turned off full memory diagnostics and memory compression (was causing more page file swaps than without), 29 GB page file on a fast SSD, and still the odd random crash.
Live traffic also uses memory, and big airports can be very taxing if you don't set the Airport life settings lower (I have ground traffic density at 10)
The rolling cache can hinder more than it helps. If you fly into a new area it adds extra strain on memory and disk use, than without having the cache. Turning the cache off, or even better, pre-caching the area with manual cache can solve a lot of problems.
Best is to upgrade to 32GB ram or even 64GB. Problem is, it's hard to find memory upgrades atm and mail orders are slow. I'm waiting for mine, Corsair 2x16GB 3200 mhz coming directly from China.
Btw, at least make sure your pagefile is on the SSD. Windows managed, but do not let it have a (additional) pagefile on the HDD.
That what i got a moment but 16GB. Sure it use to be alot cheaper then that for this ram but might go ahead and buy it as people told me in past for simulation you might need to upgrade ram.
I might verify files just to be sure. lol j/k
