BTW you do not need FULL FLAPS and 140knts is also a wrong speed by the Game for this. You might notice FLAPS 3 = "LANDING FLAPS". Reserve Full Flaps for controlling it further on/off or when you have a back wind when you shouldn't have.
Try aim for Flaps 3 and reduce AutoThrust to 122kts which is on the border to stall but is safe enough. This way you stand a better chance of a GO-AROUND before you die due to too much Flaps ;)
I've watched countless real life pilots on youtube with cockpit cams. And everyone set "full flaps" before landing. Just because it works in the sim doesn't mean it works that way in real life.
I recommend looking for "a320 landing cockpit cam" on youtube, and you will notice that landing does not take place with flap 3, but with full flaps.
To the thread creator:
Can it be that you forget to enter the correct barometer values (you got from the ATC before landing) into the computer before landing? Because then exactly what you describe happens. The plane "thinks" it is even higher than it is and crashes into the runway. Especially when barometer is set to "Std" during cruise mode, which is used by pilots.
regards
I think the only reason people are using 3/4 flaps in game is because either the plane, the flight model or the game itself is borked
Even OVERKILL says it's a personal choice but "LANDING FLAPS 3" (it's in the title) gives you the greater control. Try it.
