i care for the buttons and things to interact w in the cockpit not really that much about graphics
Funny you say that because Carenado/Alabeo have wonderful 3D models (and textures for the most part) but all else is pretty lackluster. Performance numbers are generally pretty well off and the flight models leaves a lot to be desired.
ive noticed some things missing in some flight models
They've pretty much always been like this. My first Carenado product was for FS2004 (The Cessna 182Q if I recall). I'm very much into GA and it's a shame because Carenado could really do a better job, they just choose not to. They're always in a hurry to push buggy and unfinished products out that get a few patches at most and then it's off to the next product. They have products out there that are still in need for patches that were first released years ago. I REALLY hope that something like what SimCoders does comes to MSFS. I was hoping that in MSFS they would be better but they're not.
the 337 and c90 are great try them if you havent
sux to be you.
Well why do you buy them then lol? I have never ever bought any extra MS FS product and not felt like I have lost out at all.
Although funnily enough this time I could buy Newcastle Airport as I use that a lot but I am on Xbox Gamepass so I cant. Well I could but then I would no doubt lose it if I left the Gamepass so I am not buying anything for the game.
Alternately, you could find it on a third party site like JustFlight or FlightSim and buy it there, that way you download and "install it" yourself.

That thread seems to indicate that progress such as flight hours won't carry over if you move from the MS Store version to Steam, though. If you were going to buy it from the MS Store, it seems like a very safe bet.
I dunno it looks very confusing and not clear at all whether things get moved over should you buy the game somewhere else. You would think that would be the case but who knows with MS.
For example my Gamepass version uses my Xbox name not my MS name, but my Xbox account is linked to my MS account so god only knows lol. If I was to finish my Xbox Gamepass I am not so sure I wouldnt lose my addons bought for that version. Either way not willing to risk it.
And I cant install any mods because the Gamepass folder is restricted access you cant even look into it. So I am stuck with the basic game and no addonds on mods unless I buy the game somewhere else and I dont really want to do that because I have to have the Gamepass for my kid anyway so MS FS is free for me on there effectively.
I can live without the addons and mods though its not a big deal for me. And I would probably only buy one or two anyway.
I have no problem buying addons, in fact I have bought loads of them. Why don't I buy Carenado and Alabeo addons? They're not worth the money and I'm not even saying this because they don't fuel my desire to have study level aircraft in which A2A does.
There is a lot of controversy around Carenado and Alabeo. I was hoping they would do better in MSFS but sadly this simply doesn't seem to be the case. Old habits die hard I guess. They're not so bad in XP, especially the addons they made when partnered with Thranda and the ones where Reality Expansion Packs are out there, the mod by Nhadrian is really good too.
You need to understand that that controversy around Carenado and Alabeo has been a thing for YEARS. I have the RXP for the Cessna 210 and Pilatus PC-12 and the Nhadrian mod for the Cessna 152. I wouldn't have got those aircraft if these mods didn't exist.
Quite a number of developers have kept up with the needs for flight simmers but Carenado and Alabeo haven't.
"More importantly though, people should know that even though you sign in to the game with your Xbox Live account, it seems the game devs just use that for log in and display name in multiplayer servers. Your marketplace purchases, flight history, settings, friend lists, achievements, basically everything useful - none of that is available after you switch from GamePass to Steam, and presumably vice versa. Misleading and sucks tbh."

So that's a bit rubbish lol. So definitely not buying any addons for it, as I don't know yet how long I will keep the Gamepass going.
