So far we have no gliders, rotorcraft, or supersonic aircraft. As far as realism it hasnt changed too much since FS9 except for the graphics and the amount of bugs, unfinished things in it so far. Dont even have seasons yet, but we do have snow, but the snow only stays on the ground when it's snowing (live weather) if it snows one day and you get 12" of snow and the next day there is no snow falling, the snow will have magically disappeared and everything will be green again.
My opinion is that if you have $60 to waste, then go for it, but if your money is tight and your expecting a finished product, I'd wait awhile.

Far from perfect, but both have cockpit interior and are fun to fly. P-51 is currently my favourite plane, but don't fly with max throttle for too long, it will kill the engine - keep throttle in green/yellow area.
For extra fun try the grand canyon racing course (also free) with the P-51:

For a jet, I've purchased the Aermacchi MB-339:

Also a fun plane, and fully working cockpit, here is a review:

many are quick and dirty conversions and are hugely flawed.
tbh if its ww1/2 you want, look at il2 battle of stalingrad.
Msfs2020 is more "a work in progress" than a fully rounded sim at this time.
Unless you're one of the unlucky ones that has issues (no reason to thing you will be, but it's a slim chance I guess) I'm sure you'll find plenty of things to enjoy doing in the sim as it is. But, as others have said, if you want WW2 or WW1 aircraft then you'll need to wait a little while unless you are happy with FSX conversions, which really aren't that great but are flyable.
I just did a SkyPark job and, in hindsight, chose the wrong aircraft. I decided, as it was a short job, to just take the 172. And I decided to fly real weather for a bit of extra fun. Of course, I didn't do what you should do and check the conditions, and found icing down almost to ground level. I was able to stay under it but I was pretty close to the deck and, about halfway to the destination, I came across a huge windfarm and ended up weaving in and out of the wind generators trying to stay out of the icing and maintain some visibility. Complete disaster really but also a load of fun and pretty exciting. So, if you're up for stuff like this, then the sim is great right now and you can enjoy it while the Warbirds are still on their way. :-)
It does have its issues though - as mentioned in the video you linked it gets rather squirrely on the ground during takeoff, and I also feel that the center of gravity is off, being too far in the rear - the way it reacts to the elevator feels quite off and too sluggish, while the roll rate seems fine. It certainly requires an unnatural amount of joystick movement to get any significant reaction out of its elevators.
Also, I wish it had a working HUD to avoid having to look down for instrument checks sometimes.
I certainly look forward to a bunch of interwar and WW2 aircraft making it into the game. I don't care that their weapons don't work, I'd still love to fly them around.
No just civilian modern planes.
Yes you could probably fly a real plane after so decent time flying with this computer sim but I wouldnt recommend trying without proper flying lessons.
In MSFS, you have two acrobatic planes, a Pitts Special and an Extra 330LT. The Pitts is a competition aircraft and performs well beyond what a WWI biplane could do. The Extra is maybe equivalent to a late-war WWII fighterplane. You also get some Cubs which have performance roughly equal to a late WWI bi-plane or an early WW-II monoplane, minus the instability built into fighters. All of them are fun to fly, but I recommend having a good set of controls.
i dont know about that. I was flying around anchorage and there was lots of snow on the ground, roads, buildings, trees. And no snow weather happening.
