PC stuck at "Decompressing fs-base-nav-0.1.56.fspatch"

The update download bar went 95% of the way across for some 8+ Gb update, fairly quickly, then hung. I let it run for 15 hours straight and it never progressed one bit farther. Is there any way to roll back its first attempt without having to delete the entire folder, - which would then force a 108+ Gb download?

I did, several times. It always opens with that last 321 MiB segment claiming to decompress, but it never finishes.

Initially the screen was 8.12 Gb, and it downloaded normally until it got to the last 340 Mb or so, then hung at this point. That is when I left it for 15 hours, but clearly it was hung rather than just busy. Every time the computer, STEAM, and the game are relaunched/booted, I get to this new screen which shows the same 340 or so Mb remaining and the point at which it is stopped. I can get no further with this new update.

I would start over, but I don't know what to delete so I don't have to download all 130+ Gb of the program. If I redownload everything, not only will it take a good 15 more hours, but I have no idea if it will get stuck again. I'd like to know what I need to *surgically* delete to force a new download of just this errored section.

Well I give up, I just deleted everything and am starting over. Downloading the 108 Gb base files now, and then likely all the aircraft and airport data will be another 50 Gb. Total waste of my holiday.
