172 Engine shuts down
So, I had this happen multiple times now. Enignes just shuts down randomly in the air.

I've checked the options for failures and they are all turned off, so this has to be a bug I guess.

Anyone else experience this in the Cessna 172?

What altitude?

I noticed when I push the throttle for take off it usually pulls back out, but on my last flight I couple of times the throttle went to zero on its own. Have had no engine cut out just some loss of audio though.

As far as i know only altitudes below 5000 feet.

Last time it happened I had only been airborne for a couple of minutes, below 500 feet.

My engine cuts out and the propeller stops.

Have you noticed any other controls randomly turning on / off in your cockpit? I had that issue right after the patch. Random ♥♥♥♥ was activating / deactivating on its own - lights, parking brake, flaps, throttle, AP functions, etc. And most importantly, the ignition itself. I had the 172 shut down in mid flight as a result.

I had to uninstall / reinstall the game to fix it. Luckily, I have the content installed to another drive, so I only needed to install the core components of the game to get it working right.

I just hear the sound of clicking when it happens. Buttons or switches going on and off and on and off. Not sure what buttons and switches though.

Its obviously not going to be like this, and it wasn't for me before the patch either.

Maybe I can report it as a Bug somewhere?

File a ticket with Zendesk. I did. The more they have the better.

I tried everything - reconnecting controllers to different ports, restarting PC, etc. All that worked was reinstalling the game. Obviously something went awry during the upgrade.

The 172 battery switches turn on by them selves in cold and dark.

I have the same problem in a XCub. On the Patagonia bush trip, the engines cut off after about 30 minutes and the fuel pressure drops to zero (I started with full tanks on stage 6). With three attempts always the same problem at some point …

I've been experiencing these issues since the patch.

What about the 100% CTD's when attempting to approach and land? (after installing the patch 1.8.3.0). Do you know how to fix this? I KNOW. TURN OFF AZURE´S ATC ONLINE VOICE. Worked perfectly for me after this. NOW WHY THE HELL SHOULD I WANT A FLIGHT SIMULATOR WITHOUT ATC? ONE PATCH WORSE THAN THE OTHER. HORRIBLE DEVELOPERS.

I highly encourage anyone who's having this issue of stuff activating automatically to file a Zendesk ticket. That's your ticket (pun intended) to get your issue to the devs. The more there are for a particular issue, the higher a priority it becomes.

It happened to me the first time I flew after the patch using vfrmaps. I stopped using it and (so far) have not had the problem occur again.
