How to engage in discussions with the retarded atc?
So I do know how to talk to the atc while taxiing and takeoff but how do maintain the conversation when airborne? The atc is supposed to give instructions on how high to fly, the speed etc throughout my flight path so how do I make the atc give me those instructions?on which channel do I talk to the atc? Is that something that should be done pre flight? Because until now I've just been flying at my own height and speed.

The Co-Pilot is also a moron.

Choose "Request IFR", but trust me, you don't want to

Departure, Center, Approach controllers. You make requests with them, no idea if you can do this with default ATC.

I mean I hear the atc give instructions to some fights (assuming thosd planes are ai controlled) asking them to maintain 8000ft,airpeed of so and so etc whenever Im near my destination and tuned into the channel of the destination airport, so if those planes can receive those instructions I thought that maybe we as players can also receive such instructions.

Again, Christ! Request IFR from the ATC, open the ATC window while in flight and look for it

What the hell is ifr and how do I request that?

Just fly anywhere like you have been doing. Open the ATC window, tune to whatever controller center you see and request IFR following. You will need to have selected a departure and arrival airport before starting your flight.

Right now IFR is very broken and will make you crash, overshoot the airports, go to FL020 in a 152, etc., so you don't really want it.

I was just now in a Diamond DA62 at 4000 ft., 10 miles out from landing when it told me to go to 10,000 feet. 10 seconds later 14,000 feet. 10 more seconds 1600 feet. Then my controls became ultra glitchy and super fast and sensitive. Like Mario Kart in the air. So I died.

ATC, co-pilot, ground crew are all idiots trying to kill you. Gotta go in with that attitude...

ATC will be like ascend when your about to land, horrible AI
And my Co-Pilor once dived the plane into the ground on auto

IFR with the current state of the ATC can drive you nuts with frequent handoffs and worse bad information if you picked a low alt flight plan over mountains, the murderous SOB's will literally crash you into the mountains with altitude change requests.

Handoffs can be alleviated by enabling AI assisted coms which will result in less handoffs and the AI taking care of responding anyway. On the flip side he'll also request pushback automatically but I prefer that to being over worked.

If you're just flying VFR you won't get any air traffic service once you leave the air traffic zone that surrounds your departure airfield, it's up to you to ask for a service such as flight following. If you then intend to penetrate controlled airspace when on route again you should ask the relevant airfield ATC for permission and service.
On the other hand if you're wanting ATC to give you altitudes, heights, directions etc for the whole flight you should file a IFR flight plan for the route and you will be handed from controller to controller along your route. You're hearing other aircraft given instructions as they're flying a filed IFR flight plan.

This is why there is a "Cancel IFR" option.

s\

Well you shouldn't really.

ATC gives you directions. you follow them, if you can't follow them. Tell ATC your "unable"... They will then assist you with further needed directions. A discussion is never really on the table! Not even if the pilot is "retarded" \s
