Why do so many buttons not work?
Half the controls in the planes either say "inoperative" or just don't do anything when I click on them. Do you think they'll make them work in future updates?

Apparently this is because the devs decided it wasn’t their high priority..

imo it’s not game-breaking but it does get pretty annoying to see half the controls static. Hopefully they add them soon!

I think those switches and buttons are not critical to the operations of flying the aircraft. But I do hope they restore more functionalities in future updates. I want that passenger seat belts ding to work...

If they do not enable those functions, they can't really call this a simulation.

Because it's a default aircraft, not everything gets done.

PMDG. Enough said. Wait for them

Because they are default aircraft, not study level. They are basically functional within the MASSIVE amount of work that the base game world and environment was. This is how flight sims are always built, and the new default aircraft are actually the best looking and most functional aircraft ever included in a sim.

If you want a lot more functioning buttons and systems, you buy higher end third party aircraft. And yes, they will cost a good percentage of the original game or maybe even more. Why? To make all those buttons and switches and the underlying systems (fuel, hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics) function as they should. It's a ton of work to sell only a few units to a few people.

Welcome to simming.

for some reason only the inop for seat belt and no smoking is annoying me. No idea why they are important to me but i guess i like clicking seat belt button to add immersion.

Yeah... with 737 more expensive than whole FS2020 game :>>

Some modders work already on inop buttons. So maybe they work in some weeks :)
Skippy Aug 23, 2020 @ 5:30am
Oh lord. So what do you want op? You want the heater to work? An air vent? Is your immersion ruined since you can't feel heat come from your screen?
Vee Aug 23, 2020 @ 5:49am
No its just nice to do real checklist and turn on all the buttons needed like in real plane even if they dont do anything important
viranto Aug 23, 2020 @ 5:58am
Yes, its for checklist and for realism. Like activate the seatbelt button. Even when you don't see anything. When you will go for full realism, inop destroy everything. Its the same like order food, cargo, passengers and such things before the start on a gate. (it do nothing, only optical or for realism)
