Does a preload come for the 150GB? I dont have a fast internet connection here in germany.

It need many hours to download this game for me

150gb is for local storage as per the specs. The cloud is for two petabytes of geographical data.

My download is 11 MByte/s (my max. on a 100 MBit line), but 150 Gigs is definitely a tough one. Almost 4 hours if I'm not wrong.

ouch... ithink we should see it realistic, do you think steam or ms can take it on release if there would`nt be a preload for the simfiles (not launcher), this sim got very popular allready, so even with preload, i would think the whole bandwith on earth could suffer enough letting you eat your pissed carpet dude.

Got a real fast 1000 connection and if it was a Origin or Uplay download then it would take not very long.

But steam is very slow often ! Too often.

That isn't how it works.

I think the confusion is because alpha was 130, beta is 80, and MS suggests 150. We expect the sim to be 150ish.

You have an optional rolling cache file, that you can specify a size. The sim will not just decide to take up another 70gb on it's own.

MS has confirmed you will be downloading it from them. Steam will only get a small installer. The rest is from MS. Just like how many MMO on steam do.

That said, MS had a lot of complaints on the forums about download speed....
