Any Other Games Like This?

I found this game to be one of those unfortunate ones like tetris attack where there is just nothing else like it with regard to gameplay- one of a kind. And unfortunately, much like warhammer 40k soulstorm, the developer (Infinity Interactive now "Infinity Plus Two") has proven they have no idea why the first game was successful, given their latest idiotic attempt at a sequel- Puzzle Quest 3. I literally just want the same game mechanics with more content, better graphics, and no micro-transactions or currency BS and I'm pretty sure others want the same, and apparently that just too difficult for them to do.

Consequently, I was wondering if anyone knows if there are any very similar games. I heard HuniePop has similar-ish mechanics allegedly but bluntly- you would have to pay me to play that. Any suggestions? Any "hidden gem" Match 3 Games out there?

Sadly, no. Everything else seems to be an imitator that misses the point or tries to get "micro" on you. The closest things I found was Gems of War but it's P2W and full of cheap BS to tempt you to pay.

Maybe puzzle and dragon's releases on DS for a similar feel. I feel that "You must build a boat" is a good release in this genre on steam.

Not sure it's a "hidden gem" but Bejeweled 3 is pretty much the best match 3 game out there.
