Grim Reaper achievement

The achievement that unlocks the Grim Reaper character. Is this achievement only available during the halloween event? Because the update says only 6 achievements are time exclusive. I have gotten these six but not a map achievement. Will I be able to get the map achievement whenever, And get the Grim Reaper one?

You can always get map achievements. Special event achievements become impossible to collect once the named kind of zed is no longer to be found. For example, the "not so silent night" achievement requires that you kill a Christmas siren... so it can only be done while there are Christmas zeds in the game.
Last time I looked, the halloween zeds were still in, and they now count for both this year's event achievements, and last year's ("sparkling in the twilight", etc.)

Ok, cool. So the Grim Reaper will remain unlockable due to the fact that it does not require you to kill any halloween zeds?

You'll need to...
* kill 15 hillbilly crawlers with an MKb or Tommy Gun
* kill a hillbilly husk and any other zed in a single shot from an M99
* kill five hillbilly zeds in ten seconds with a scythe or axe
* set three hillbilly gorefasts on fire with a flare pistol or trench gun
* kill 1000 hillbilly zeds
* and the gnome thing, which may or may not disappear with the hillbilly specimens

...so basically, everything else is Halloween dependent. Halloween is a week in the past now, so if you want to unlock the Grim Reaper, you'd better get a wriggle on.

You don't understand my question. I have already unlocked all six Halloween special achievements, the ones that can only be unlocked during the event. I do not have any map achievements, which is not bound to this event. So therefore I don't have the Grim Reaper one. The Grim Reaper is not listed as one of the six event-locked achievements, but you need event-locked achievements to unlock it. So technically it could be considered as event-locked. That's the question, will I be able to unlock Grim Reaper after the event is over?

I bet you will. Sorry for the misunderstanding: your second post on this thread threw me, because Grim reaper does require killing Halloween zeds. But you took care of them :)

Based on what a friend had occur during the summer carnival event, yes, if you get the map achievement after the event ends, you still get the character.

I had unlocked all achievements that required Hillbilly zeds and just now, minutes ago, did the thing with the 25 Gnome Souls. I did not get the Grim reaper as a character. Does this mean he's locked off now? Kind of a jip, if you ask me.

I had unlocked every achievement except a Map one yesterday, now i just finished a game on the Hillbilly Horror map on normal, got the map achievement and the grim reaper achievement but didn't unlock the skin as well...

Actually i just saw that i unlocked the Grim Reaper achievement in game but not on Steam. WTF O.O

Oh come on?! Nowhere does it state that the grim reaper was time-exclusive. Only the 6 other ones. This pisses me off grately, I don't want to have this locked until next halloween!

I just finished the Hillbillly Horror and Hillbilly Horror maps and unlocked the achievement on Killing Floor, but it has yet to unlock the character model.

It has worked the same for Bad Santa, Steampunk Mr. Foster... You have to obtain the character achievement within the timeframe, regardless if you only have the map achievement left. If you completed the map requirement afterwards, then you will have access to Grim Reaper next Halloween (if they decide make it available).
I would agree that TWI could make the descriptions clearer; but next time just don't leave things to chance or leave it too late to ask.

Someone here said that if you complete the map achievement outside the event you won't get the character until the next time the event is there. If this is true I do not know. I got my achievement and skin yesterday.

I'm answering this in case others find this thread via google the way I did.
