black overlay-textures (blood strains / vomit)

Hi!

I've installed KF on a different and VERY old pc. It runs quite fluid in low settings, but whenever a clot hits me or I get covered in vomit, the screen shows the effect (blood/vomit) and everything else is black.

It looks to me that the textures of the on-screen blood/vomit aren't rendered transparent. Does anybody know how to get around that? Is it possible to disable these effects or does anybody even have a solution without disabling them?

I remember that in the option menu , u can disable those effects.

hmmm... I can't find an option for that. Do you know how it is called?
