Custom Maps

I cant figure out how to put maps I downloaded from steam onto killing floor to be able to play them.

Okay here's a little guide to help you, once you got the maps and whatever files come with it.

If you downloaded them through the steam workshop, just hit subscribe and start up Killing Floor, at the top right should be a message saying the map is downloading. You may need to restart the game a few times. Once it's done rstart the game again and it'll be in your choice of maps.

If you downloaded them through a website, go to your Steam folder in Program Files, go into steamapps, common, killingfloor, then put the files in the right folders.
.rom = Maps
.ogg = Music
.uz2 = Redirect
.uax = Sounds
.usx = StaticMeshes
.upl = System
.utx = Textures

Only one thing. Im not seeing the message pop up for the download

Okay, uhm, that is great and all, but I ain't seeing that message or any of the maps or ANYTHING else that I subscribed to. Might it be because I am on Mac?

I have a PC so that may be why. Try exiting the game go to your library then your downloads section, sometimes they may download there with the symbol for Killing Floor Workshop. If not load up the game stay in the main menu for a bit and see if anything comes up, also try going into singleplayer and see if the map has downloaded already, or you could manually check your Killing Floor map folder in the directory above.

Ok so i see its done downloading in my downloading library. But its still not in the game and im not sure were it saved to in my folders.

Go to wherever Steam is installed, for me that C, Program Files. Go into Steam, then steamapps, then common, then killingfloor, then Maps.

Will the maps work in multiplayer as well?

They will. :) I haven't come across maps that people made for only solo gameplay.
