Critical Error

I just got a new laptop, it's updated and everything (Running the latest version of Windows 8), installed killing floor and ran it, worked just fine, didn't change settings or anything, exit out. Come back to play again, and it won't start. It shows the logo or what ever and then proceeds to give me usually one of 2 errors (and they keep switching between the 2)

OS: Windows NT 6.2 (Build: 9200)
CPU: GenuineIntel PentiumPro-class processor @ 2396 MHz with 4095MB RAM
Video: Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 (3308)

Now a list of fixes I've tried:
-Verifying Cache
-Deleting killingfloor.ini
-Deleting System Folder and verifying
-Uninstalling and reinstalling KF
-Updating Direct X
-Check for Direct X Errors (none)
-Change videocard settings to be more ideal
-Restarting Steam
-Restarting my Computer
-Checking for Windows updates (none avalible)
-Changing to start windowed

I wasted an entire day on this, please help! I will love you long time!

1- try changing Intel graphic to balanced
2 - try starting in windowed mode
3- try alternate start method
4.- try starting as administrator
5 - try running in compatability mode
6 - try deleting the client registry blob, then deleting the killingfloor. system folder, then verifying game

Well I think I owe you something, compatibiltiy worked, I couldn't find it on windows 8 all day, but I got it now. I know that in other posts, people said that the game ended up reverting back to having the same issues, but we'll see. I'm tried and going to bed. Thanks though, this is my brothers account, but I'll send you something from it once he gets some cards or something. thanks again

I was only joking. Glad to help. Enjoy KF working for you. It should stay in compatibility mode if you set it to run as administrator first, then compatibility mode.
