"Fresh Meat?"

When joining a game, my name apears in the lobby, as well as a player named "Fresh Meat." This player "Fresh Meat," has my class, but I myself do not have a class, and ready-ing locks in Fresh Meat, not myself. When the game starts I am Fresh Meat, and my character "SuperNerdyGuy" is standing at the spawn, only to die seconds later, and I play out the game normally as Fresh Meat.

Does anyone have any explaination for this and/or experienced it themselves? Any help is appreciated.

The strange Freshmeat bug thing. I don't really know much about it, but try:

Restart Steam
Restart Killing Floor
Validate Game cache.

Play on a different server, or try a solo game and see if it comes up again.

Otherwise, I have no idea.

I used to have this problem a long time ago, maybe it's a synchronization problem with steam, because it gets fixed by restarting steam (at least for me).
