I'm considering to purchase the game but i was wondering whether or not people still play it, and whether i should skip this and get KF2. Suggestions on the same please?

I find it funny you would rather post on the forums and wait around untill someone replies instead of launching the game and just looking at the server player counts

Yes, people still play this game. However, the player count dips during the weekdays (numbering between 900-1,000 players) whereas the player count dramatically increases during the weekends (1,200-1,500 players). Whenever you refresh the servers when launching the game, you can ALWAYS find tons of games. A lot of people still play this game.

I would suggest waiting for Killing Floor 2 to get more content as it's in its "Early Access" which only has a few maps (it'll get rather dull quickly, from what I've heard from other people since I don't own KF2).

I would very much suggest getting this game first. You will then know mainly the controls and get an idea of the game itself. I got this game first, just a week ago and now I'm use to it. I'll be buying KF2 sometime next month as well.

I hear that KF2 isn't the best right now because there isn't very many maps (only 3), and the perks aren't much. I don't think there is a lot of those either.

Don't you get a free copy of Killing Floor if you get the digital deluxe edition of KF2? Don't quote me on that, but you might just want to look into that if I'm right. It'll save you some money and get you some nice extras.

KF1 has a ton of content and is a good introduction before getting into KF2 which hasn't much yes. And that's not including the many good custom maps out there.

You can easily get 300h of fun leveling up all the perks to 6. The rest is just gravy (I stand at 1,700h+).

To me buy KF2(all KF2) and you will get KF1 with it,(KF2 in EA) So if u want, Load KF1 and dont load KF2 to libirary Untill EA is done,,but thats up to you bud,,both games are great,,just one is not done yet and the other is and yes,,if u buy the whole deal on KF2 then yes u get kf1 with it.Its up to you,,. this way u get more time on understanding the game before playing KF2. Have fun...stay KOOL. (PS) KF2 u must have a 64bit to play.

I think he meant looking at the player count in the "All" tab. It is pretty silly to ask considering you have the means to see for yourself.

How do i connect to any server? Whatever server i'm trying to connect to is downloading maps, that take a long time. :| It's frustrating.

Are you trying to join servers with custom maps? In that case you will download each map which may take time depending on your internet speed.

Custom maps are often displayed in green and/or have fancy names in the server browser so try to join servers that run official maps.
