Killing Floor 1 sucks

I just replayed HoE KF1 since a while after playing KF2 and can I say, man I hate this game. Actually so boring to play compared to KF2. Never touching this game again.

I'll be honest I'm so accustomed to ping systems in games now that it feels weird not having one here

but then again being forced to quickly type "fp" or "sc" in chat amongst other various messages did help my typing speed slightly lol

No it's just so repetitive and tedious and the hitboxes suck. All you do is just keep running on solo and turn back every now and then to kill something and then keep running and it takes ages. KF2 has more variety in zeds and faster speed so I'm not bored to death waiting for round 1 to pass with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ pistol no one likes.

They are both respectable games. 3 looks like there's going to be some playing around in the options menu before playing (Mute dialogue, no subtitles for starters).

I just now realized why it sucks so bad. I just played one last match to confirm my feelings and I hate it even more now. Not only are the hitboxes bad, but somehow a problem even worse is that the game spawns zeds literally right in front of you. The spawn system is completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ broken and designed to make the game boring as ♥♥♥♥ by forcing you to run a marathon around the map until all the zeds already spawned and are trailing you as you train them. Until you get to that position you will just die if you don't. Absolute garbage game. Could have been good, but that's why they made KF2.

The only bad thing with KF1 is the janky hitboxes for the heads and that a few weapons are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
Everything else about the game is superior to both the second game, and easily a masterclass compared to whatever ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ KF3 is going to be.

I can literally mod the second game to be as difficult as I want. This game just teleports a Fleshpound in front of me at the start of the round and teleports enemies in front of me in a corridor.
