Good news is that you don't have to do it every time. You can save the ports once you've made 'em. Although you may need to reactivate them next time you want to host a server, as sometimes ports spontaneously close after a period of time or something.
Thats down to your router giving you a new IP via DHCP. If you assign yourself a static IP outside of your routers DHCP pool you should never have to redo ports once set.
@OP It's down to your ports and IP, it always is.
Easier than opening ports, but does have demanding prerequisite.
