How to Host Lan Server/Play with friend???
Ok so I just got this game and I have absolutely NO idea how to host a LAN server so my brother can join in. I can see when I right click in-game LAN tab that "Open IP" pops up and I need to type the IP Adress in, I have no idea what this stuff is. How do I see what IP Adress I have on this game so I can type it in? I did search this up on the internet and that REALLY REALLY creaped the hell out of me, it was just soo much, like I don't even know what UDP, IP or even Port is.. See me as a COMPLETE noob at this.

If you would take your time and help me out set by step I'd really be glad. All this stuff is so confusing :>

if you are both connected to the same router it is easy. One of you just starts the game and starts a "Listen" server.. this is a server that the person starting will play in as well.
Then once the game is in the lobby, the other machine running the game can go to multiplayer - Lan and the game will show up there. You do not have to configure any ports for a lan server, I just did it a couple of weeks ago when a friend came over. He even kept his achievement progress since each machine had its own link to steam independent of the game itself.

I too dreaded the port configuration and was really happy it could just be ignored for Lan.
