Is the game worth it for single player?

Not much into pvp. The game review I read from when it came out said SP wasn't very good but MP was good. Still like that?

This game is great single player but takes skill. That skill requires doing some reading on the guides then practicing. It is hard, and great because of that challenge. But people too lazy to do a search or read??? They will never be any good and quit after 3 or 4 hours when they cant survive till wave 5 on Normal.

Don't listen to bigguns, that guy is a try hard ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Let me say something first: you don't have to worry about PVP, because the base game is 100% cooperative play. It comes with a mod that's built around PVP (that no body plays), but otherwise it's just a cooperative wavebased survival game. That said, no, it's not really worth it for the single player. Unless you have some type of compulsive disorder you need to redirect into video games (refer to Bigguns 93), the single player is not very fun. It's monotonous and dull. Most of the best experiences this game has to offer come from playing with other people.

It's coop only. Up to.. 6 players? Solo is doable to a certain extent, then it's just unfair. The game was definitely designed for multiple people working together, but that doesn't make it a bad game, it makes it an awesome game.

It's not coop competitive. If you have the lowest kills, people don't harass you. There's very little trash talking. Community is fine. There are people who play as 1 class, but use the weapons of another and people just don't care.

Thanks for the advice! Yea, I didn't mean pvp actually. I'm just so used to inserting pvp for multiplayer as coop is more of a rarity. As for Bigguns posts, I figured. I saw a couple of his browsing thru stuff earlier.

You don't have experience, you have a compulsive disorder. But yeah, we're really impressed that you've invested more than three months IRL into one video game, you're clearly a functional person that makes good decisions everyone should listen to.

If you're after a single player game then this probably isnt for you. The fun in this game comes from playing with friends and working together as a team. If you are willing to give it a try though, wait till it's on sale for $5 which should happen soon. Most of the community is friendly and help you learn the mechanics of the game, and once you tire of the vanilla game there are countless mods that will keep you coming back :)

I love it solo, best game investment for the cost Ive ever made. Played a ton of FPS solo and if you like FPS and solo Im sure you will like this... lots of depth in tactics and weapons.. perks improve your weapon stats and player abilities as you progress up.. the game is really excellently balanced in that regard.
Multiplayer adds a lot to that and makes the game even more of a challenge, but single player is great for those that like to play that way.
