kf1 doesnt have good atmosphere anymore for over a decade

i hear a lot of people saying kf1 atmosphere is perfect and kf2 is awful meanwhile we have steampunk outfits, commando chicken, baddest santa, reaper (like seriously bruh) + maps like stronghold and aperature. ruining the atmosphere for me a lot. feel free to explain to me why you think it still has great atmosphere with a chicken fursuit running around. KF Mod does it way better and is far creepier so check it out if you love KF1 so much. some weapons look awful like most of the steampunk and neon ones but they are fun to use so why not.

tldr: i highly disagree that kf1s atmosphere is the best and that KF mod or either launch retail KF1 had the best atmosphere. feel free to disagree i dont care.

baddest santa is practically a homeless drunkard which is far less outlandish than actual literal santa being a character, and The reaper is a dude in a halloween costume. Stronghold is supposed to be a tourist attraction turned into a base. Aperture is a collab and not canon as is everything to do with the steampunks in both games probably.

i just wonder if reaper is a dude in a halloween costume why does he has no visible legs and flies?

seeing aperture and steampunk maps as non canon wasnt something i thought of. still not so sure about stronghold or moonbase so i would rather see them as non canon maybe.

baddest santa (and maybe reaper) makes sense but its still very distracting to me seeing them in a lobby with the other players having military skins.

just because kf1 does it less worse doesnt it mean its perfect. kf2 is way worse at that regard my point was just that many people say that kf1 has PeRfEct AtmOsPHerE while it just really doesnt. i dont think i can be the only one thinking like that with all the skins, neon weapons etc.

i legit dont care in the end if someone plays them altho i find it a bit distracting and ruins the atmosphere (but we play games for the gameplay mainly anyways). was just intrested if other people feel the same way or not like me which im sure some at least do.

Probably clipping issues or those who made the model didn't see the point in adding them since you weren't going to see them.

I think the odd character here and there is fine because there are a fair share of lunatics like SGT Powers or Kerry Fitzpatrick, so baddest santa being a lowlife literally covered in piss and beer isn't too crazy since it basically is the apocalypse and some are bound to go crazy.

Stronghold isn't really anything mayor since its a community map and moonbase was an event map so it probably wasn't supposed to be canon.

Just because the Fursuit is a guy inside a suit doesnt it mean that he totally fits into 6 military dudes killing zombies. Its very laughable and takes the immersion away. You can like it of course but you cannot tell me that a Fursuit guy comes you first to mind when talking about the military killing zombies.

the fact is kf1 only keeps its atmosphere intact if you mostly stick to default skins, as does kf2
