A little bit of offtopic:
1) Game mode "Defence Alliance 2" which comes with "KF" is totally broken. Afaik there are some fans, who tried to fix it, but they failed.
I understand that the developer team of "Tripwire Interactive" are busy with developing new games, but... Is there any hope for someone who is still interested in this mode? Also, "Killing Floor" with version 1.0 and probably 2.52, you can still download and play it using "Unreal Tournament 2004: Editor's Choice Edition" and everything is running without any problem. Amazing nostalgia
2) "Killing Floor: Calamity" the game, which was released for the "Ouya" system, later was moved to the "Android." There were some mentions, that this game can be released on "Steam", but it doesn't happen. You can call me a psycho, but I am still waiting for this game and would definitely buy it
1. We did not develop that mod nor do we control support for it. It was put together with KF1 purchase back in the days before there was a workshop. I think if the original devs wanted to continue to work on it they would have moved it to the workshop. Sorry.
2. There are no plans on further development for Killing Floor Calamity.
Can you remove DA2 link from KF1's store page / mark it unusable / add a warning in description / archive? Same for vanilla Toy Master mod btw. If you don't have it installed from Steam you will crash in 100% cases when you join to server. And if you have it installed you can not start it from steam otherwise it will f*k up configs. Sounds pretty broken to keep it around.

It's compiled with '-mod' key, so it has a separate game config, where authors change console / Gui Controller classes with their `da2_` ones:

To switch the main menu and it's entries / voice chat recolor / fonts, etc. It was working fine before, but at some point you've disabled console / Gui Controller replacement (security reasons obviously) and now:
- You start the DA2 from steam.
- You can not open the console.
- You can not view and / or interact with main menu, only the background animations in infinte loop.
Even if you manually set console / Gui Controller to kf vanilla classes to load it somehow, HUD-buttons-lables are mostly invisible. No zeds because of code changes in latest KF1 patches. No achievements, no progression. So imo, better remove the DA2 link from KF1 store, it adds confusion and angry reviews.
Correct me if I am wrong.
P.S. I'm working on a fix for DA2, but it's incredibly hard because of tons of missing textures, bad coding and package header chaos. It's a mess to deal with, but still it will be functional as a simple KF1 mod / workshop upload.

As a game breaking bug - Toy Master mod has custom karma files, and vanilla KF doesn't support redirecting those files from http server. So when you join to a server without this mod installed from steam, corpses will stay frozen and after 10-40 seconds your client will crash.
Admins need to install this hacky mod from Marco to redirect karma files:

But most of them doesn't know about it / do not set it up. So it leads to confusion and frustrations from constant crashes.

It doesn't require native code compilation, only unreal script one so it can be easily done. I do not understand why TWI keeps ignoring those real issues.
P.P.S. Not even talking about map exploits, thats a different story and not as important.
As I said, we do not provide support for DA2 the mod and it is no longer in development as far as I know.
Toy Master was a mod that David H. made for fun, it is no longer in development. It has remain up in case anyone wanted to mess around with it, but I can pass along requests that it be removed from the store. It too was only put on the store for free because at the time, there was no Steam workshop.
Development for KF1 has ended. Currently there are no plans for any future updates.

DA2 is being removed from our packages. Work was done to get all the affected KF and KF2 content available again in the evening last night. However it looks like there are still some issues and we have reached back out to Valve with a support ticket again.
