Steam Workshop Items Not Downloading

I press subscribe but I never see any indication of the mods downloading when I launch the game and the content doesn't appear. I do have 3 workshop maps that I was already subscribed to before installing the game that I can play on but I subbed to them a few years back and when I recently re-installed KF they were already there. I can't get anything new to download though. Is it relevant that I have two seperate install paths for steam to install games? The one KF is installed on is the second one on my second hardrive.

Workshop is broken as ♥♥♥♥. Most of the times you have to restart KF multiple times for the subbe d items, and sometimes it never works, and you'll have to get the manual link for it. Too bad, but you can find most of the things with manual links around the internet.

that would be annoying as ♥♥♥♥ to do compared to just clicking subscribe. i know it can work like its supposed to. it works perfectly for all my friends

You could go into multiplayer tab and then click out to main menu, that usually works.......

i think thats just if its already downloaded but just not showing up. I've done that multiple times. I've also restarted my game about a hundred times in an attempt to get them to DL. doesnt work

Ok well make sure you're not over the 50 (I think that's the figure) limit of subbed workshop items, which extends to other games.....so if you have 49 workshop items subbed for garrys mod and subbed to 2 killing floor workshop items, then it just fails because you now have 51 workshop items subbed which is over 50....

I'm pretty sure its 50 mods for each game...

Anyway even if it is the case that I can only have 50 mods on steam total (which would be completely ridiculous) theres no way I can find every single mod I've subbed to in the years I've had this account. I have like 360 games and who knows how many of those have steam workshop. Most of them aren't installed but if its counting installs and not subscriptions then this isn't my problem anyway.

No other games are fine, they will be ok going over the 50 limit, but if you want any content from the workshop for killing floor, you better make sure you're under the 50 mark in grand total.....or else it just fails....

...wish tripwire would look into this but alas they have their hands tied with killing floor 2.....

Well if you forgot to unsub before uninstall your games, welp gg....this is a known issue for killing floor......looks like you'll have to look for the manual download links for each and every mod you want to add for their respective workshop item for killing floor if the author or anyone else has shared it publicly.......
