Low FPS
I wouldn't bother and just played on lower detail, but I recently got an upgrade and KF 1's performance is equally as bad (sub 40 fps on highest) as on my previous PC. Anybody know what might cause this?

UT2004 bad optimization, just lower all the graphics and disable reduce mouse lag option or in case you want to play with high graphics disable only the reduce mouse lag option.

What's your PC specs?
DoomMaker Sep 22, 2019 @ 10:57pm
i7-8750H (Hexacore 2.2 GHz)
8 GB RAM
GTX 1060

I lowered everything to lowest, on Farm it barely reaches 60 FPS. So I'm even more confused

EDIT: Oh, holy hell, that mouse lag option reduced fps by like 20-30. That should be more than enough, but if anyone still has some tips feel free to post

what graphics settings?
DoomMaker Sep 23, 2019 @ 4:05am
I thought it was obvious, but both original post and my reply meant they were default highest and default lowest settings respectively.

Also both Dynamic Ligthting and Charachter shadows seem to be the biggest culprits. I settled on hIgh with dynamic lighting and reducing mouse lag (duh) off. Seems to keep framerate over 60 fps on every map.

EDIT: I can't english

This is a laptop right? It sounds like it's running on the iGPU instead of the 1060.

Make sure the game is running on the 1060 and not the iGPU.

Yeahm it is. No, it's not wrong GPU. I've seen too many games do that to get tricked by this again.

Open your KillingFloor.ini file and look for MaxClientFrameRate parameter and change it to higher.
Also before u join any server, open console and type netspeed 15000

I was about to comment that the problem isn't the cap but even getting to it... but... that kinda worked? It must be some other factor, because I refuse to believe the code is so spaghetti. Then again, considering the hitboxes, maybe spaghetti code is the answer.
Well my laptop is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crap and that boosted my fps. Mouse lag the most but u realized that i see :p
King1220 Sep 24, 2019 @ 5:26pm
Turn off V-sync. That whats capping your FPS.
