The price
The price is way too high for developing countries. It's cheaper than greedy MS, EA and UbiSoft charge, but its still triple of what WRC games used to cost and tripple of AAA price.

Given sure exchange rates aren't precise indicators of economic parity, but still.

Valve bumped suggested prices for developing countries 50% up two years ago. While even those pierces were too high.
TDU is more expensive even than new suggested prices.

As of real AAA prices - TDU is double of AAA and gold edition is tripleof AAA.

Never seen the valve suggested prices on steamdb before, good to know. Two egregious ones are probably cause the place setting's hitting close to home and they might as well charge full price for it knowing people are more likely to buy it.

But yea, looking at BG3 and Elden Ring neither of which are traditionally known for screwing over the player base, looks like they both charge even worse than TDU in regards to valve suggested pricing. So really seems like it's just industry norm than just TDU publisher trying to gouge.

What AAA game cost 3 times more than TDUSC? Because from the looks of it, TDUSC is priced more or less in the same ball park as AAA games.

Why do developing countries always feel like they're entitled to absurdly low prices and getting everything cheap? The fact that you complain must mean you have a decent pc to run this game and that can't be cheap. If you can afford a decent pc for gaming, you live in a more developed neighborhood.

On top of that, do you have any idea about living costs in developed countries? Most of my income is evaporated by insanely high living costs. Rent, insurance, food, energy, transportation costs and so on are a fortune here each month again. Not to mention hardware prices. No, I don't go out to get my coffee, lunch and dinner at some place but home, because I can't afford that. I have to let most games pass because of their insane prices over here and wait a couple of years for their price to drop.

I want those prices you pay, because then I can at least afford gaming again. For more than 5 years now I haven't bought a game on release, because I can't afford those prices without hurting my family.

I do not understand, in one point you agree with the price, and in another you are saying you cannot afford a game-that masochistic. -Or I`am missing something (no native engl. here)
EDIT- Or there is another Option- You are a game developer and your income is so low that you cannot afford games ?- that`s a little funny :P -Idea of the Day- when games is to pricely to afford-Write your own game and sell it 2xAAA price LOL

They aren't entitled to low prices, of course, but they also can notice when prices become too high to justify buying them and they have a right to express their opinion. Just like people from the first world countries have the right to do the same.

After that, the ball is in the publishers' court. If they don't drop the prices then some (or many) people stop buying those games (or turn to pirating) and publishers get nothing from them.

How about finishing developing your country instead of playing videogames

Valve got no say what so ever what a game sell for. It is all up to the developer / publisher what price a game get and what region pricing they decide to use.
Valves suggested pricing is exactly that. A Suggestion.

That out of the way. Yes TDU is way to expensive for all version above base-game, but at ~€35ish is not that bad. But more than double the price from base to next level is outrageous.
So do look around for better prices, they are out there.

BUT.... the base version isn't €35 that would be an okay price, it's actually priced at €49.99. This game really doesn't look any better than some of €25 driving games being sold here and it drives worse. I could live with €35, but if they ever add offline, I'm going to wait until this game is sold at half price, under €25 and even then I'm going to think twice if I want to spent that kind of money on it. It will also depend on the reviews and if it really needs those ridiculous specs.
