No custom gauge per car is another nail in the coffin
No massive map. No houses. It's tough but I can deal with that. However, no custom gauges really rubs me the wrong way.

It's so simple really. One PNG for the gauge, one for the needle. Per car. Double that if you do the speedometer too. That's a week of work TOPS for a 2 devs team.

It sounds silly but it really REALLY added to the immersion, made you feel in the car even in third person view. It was one of the signature elements of the franchise.

I understand a massive map and houses was probably too much for a little studio to handle, but this ? Come on !

? You mean different HUD UI for each car? And no, it's not simple, there are more working elments on UI than just revs.

Each car already has its own interior dashboard.

TDU 1 had this too. And this was in 2005, and it was working.

TDU is all about refinement. And having the exact HUD of the car you're driving is part of this refinement. All about the details.

The Crew throws you a generic HUD
Forza throws you a generic HUD
TDU has to be "Sir, the HUD of your car." like you're a Customer buying a Rolls Royce. And a special edition of the game should include a physical butler saying that to you when you choose a car.

(I'm joking, but that's the spirit of the game.)
Now that you mentioned it, I've just remembered TDU1 really had HUD gauge unique for each car.
