Feels like it needs another two years honestly
There isn't really anything to do except go to the clan building... Where there's nothing to do. Driving doesn't feel good, you're always understeering, even when oversteering so if you start skidding it's almost impossible to recover. I got pit-stopped and just kept going right into a wall, no matter how hard I counter steered. But because of that, drifting feels bad. You can't really control the angle well. Even when trying to be grippy the rear is too loose so even then it's not enjoyable. Noticed that when turning there's a throttle point where, let's say you're giving it 50% gas, you're not really accelerating. But it's at that throttle point you want to accelerate out of the corner. Problem is that 51% makes the rear go out. You can't counter steer out of it so you have to release the gas. Speed zeroed.

Online is a problem too. Takes way too long to get into races because they want to fill up with players. There aren't really any because it's a demo so you just have to wait 30 seconds for it to fill up with bots. When racing with the bots you can't pause, because the game forces you to believe it's online. I just want to make a quick race and be able to answer my phone when someone calls mid race. I don't care about other players. I've been yeeted off the map from people rear ending me enough to not want to be around them.

Customization is poor. The character models doesn't really look good. All the female hairstyles look almost the same, you can't use makeup and the clothes are bland. There are no body options either so everyone just has the same body. Female body model looks like the male body with boobs. Hips are too small, shoulders too big. It has no shape, it's really boring actually. Cars has paint customization. That's about it. Gonna be fun to go to that Nissan meetup and hang out with all the boys who have their own individual identical car I guess?
Don't know if this is because of the demo though, but it also feels like there aren't many cars to select from.

Progression feels super slow too. Wouldn't be surprised if they ended up actually making it pay to win. But barely getting any money, barely any cars to buy and I don't think there are houses like in TDU. Am I just going to slowly earn money to buy those two cars I want or what? There's nothing to the game.

Graphical issues too. Shadows are off, I constantly have a half circle dragging behind the car. Reflections look awful, my entire car looks like a mirror. Mirror reflections are running in 2fps and are absolutely unusable.

Feels like the demo is an old alpha build. Two months away from release and there's no way they can fix any of this. Gonna remove it from the wishlist. I was really looking forward to it too.

Shadow Quality and Ambient Occlusion needs to be High in order to get stable shadows, everything else can be lower than high.

There are lot of 12k money stash all over the map, I found it easier to collect those than race. I think I earned over 1m in 8 hours.

In 8 hours, I discovered little over 20% of the roads, so there is at least 32 hours more for me to discover the whole map.

Shadows are bad quality even on the highest, there's a minuscule amount of shadows anyway and ambient occlusion is basic too.

Maybe you use FSR, that makes everything worse no matter how high settings you use.

No, I use native or DLAA, once I'm absolutely fed up with edges dancing around so badly, it makes the game completely unreadable. Upscaling have nothing to do with shadows either.

But eh, another fake private steam account.

Being private has nothing to do with fake.

Upscaling has lot to do with shadows and stability of the image. When you upscale, the shadows are rendered at lower resolution, that's why the look unstable with FSR. FSR only for anti-aliasing or DLSS is more stable.

No, it does not affect how shadows are rendered, where and doesn't diminish their glitches or edge behaviour. And shadows in this game are simply low quality with annoying dithering and flickering in the distance.

It absolutely does affect, upscaling by definition means rendering something at lower internal resolution and then enlarging it to screen resolution. Dithering and flickering is common artifact of FSR. Doesn't matter how high are rest of the settings if FSR upscales it from very low resolution (performance mode).

Dude, you're playing 1080p30 on a GTX1660, which means you're on really low settings, like what the hell are you even talking about? I've also already told you I don't use any upscaler for the most part.

And I only use FSR for anti-aliasing, so the game is not doing any upscaling, only the monitor does the basic resizing. I set Shadow Quality and Ambient Occlusion to High, I have no dithering or flickering in shadows, unlike you.

If you still don't get it, 4k with Performance upscaling is 1080p too, but if you use FSR, it will will look worse than native 1080p.

In 50 minutes I've seen half of the map and that it's real scale like hawaii is a big lie.

I had everything on high and turned upscaling off because I thought it was the issue. It looks like a polished turd most of the time though. Like they put shinies on everything to hide the flaws. It uses up a lot of recourses thuogh, and I don't really trust the developer to be able to optimize it for release. It looks like they are in too deep.

Noticed that too about the hidden money. The problem that I don't really enjoy the driving is still there though, so it's not really the most fun thing to do. I can see potential in a lot of it, but as it is now I'm not really a fan. Postpone release, optimize, balance gameplay and put more things in the game would be the best way to go, I'd think.

No, it's real scale. The island is just much smaller than Oahu or Ibiza.

IRL: Oahu is 600 sq miles. Ibiza is 220 sq miles. Hong Kong Island is about 30 sq miles. It would take less than an hour to drive around the circumference of Hong Kong Island.
