My final review
3 months left, they took 6 years to do worse in every way compared to tdu2. Actually, it's a disaster, except with car sound.
The city lacks life, the buildings look the same, we don't feel the wealth and luxury, the camera needs to be reviewed, the driving is not great, the retros are shameful, the AI is completely out of sens in Free Ride and in racing, multiplayer is not functional at all (even though it is the basis of the game), and the textures do not load, need internet to play.

We are witnessing a pre-pre-alpha there. With 3 tests that I did, I reported an immeasurable number of bugs, 3/4 of which were not fixed.
Knowing in addition, that the game requires a more powerful configuration than a cyberpunk or a resident evil for much less beautiful graphics and stability with fewer things to display..

And what's more, I'll give you a list of everything that's missing from tdu2:
- Customizable house and interior
- bike
- Police
- driving school
- used dealer
- different dealer for each brand
- Club with reward vehicle
- Player invitation in the vehicle
- community run
- Coop (follow the guide etc.)
- Championship and SOLO race
- Variety in traffic (bus, truck, etc.) and everyone can suffer damage during impact (loss of bumper, etc.)
- Lobby (walking before a race).
- map of 78km2 vs 600km2 and 1500km2

(I updated from another discussion)

To recover they would need at least 2 years by doubling the workforce.

When we don't have the money to make a game like that, we don't do it and we leave the license to a big studio that will have the experience and the money to do it.

Some people really need reviews to realise this game is a complete half assed ubertrash game ? This is a pure disaster, you can have a better feeling of speed in a roblox game.

This is the biggest red pill of any racing game in years but even this pile of trash have some whiteknight defending it and pretending they have fun, this is really mindblowing. I mean there was actually bozos who defended The Day Before so I'm not surprised at the end.

In some ways, I can't help but wonder if Microsoft would do this franchise it's long deserved justice? I pray this company sells the license to someone who can afford to throw the necessary funding and talent at it.

TDU2 was boring and it flopped. This feels more like TDU1, which is good.

Worse driving model, progression locked content, lackluster cars interior quality, centered around players and godawful running around car saloons - it feels like a cheap imitation of TDU1, at most.

Microsoft have money, but fire some people from different studio few weeks ago.
To compare with EA, Bethesda, Ubisoft and many more, it can't be worse.
The second solution is... Let get back the license to Eden Games the original studio who created TDU.
Biggest mistake to Alain Jarniou to choose this company (Ivory tower or go back to Eden it will be more interesting).

ivory tower did a horrible job on the crew

Honestly cant argue with the list of missing features from TDU2, sadly this is a problem among some gaming franchises, some older games in a series seem to focus more on the systems, gameplay and content rather than just making something that looks cool in the trailers and screenshots. Admittedly I still had a lot of fun with the demo and I'm super tired of the current style of open world driving games like FH5 and Motorfest and just want something more chill.

I'd rather earn my cars gradually over time instead of winning some of the best cars in the game just from spinning a roulette wheel, or have my car instantly transform into a plane or a boat, those things just seem ridiculous to me. The horrible menus and the up its own *ss pretentious smooth jazz of the Gran Turismo games are also really not my jam. Solar Crown seems like the nice balance that I'm looking for.

Gran Turismo is totally different from TDU, jazzy vibe, circuit racing with your everyday ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with crazily realistic driving model isn't everyone's taste, although I prefer that rather than the post apocalyptic free roam, TDU:SC simply just missing the fun factors of other racing games, even the predecessors having hitchhiking, courier missions etc.

I'm using the same setup as TDU:SC to play GT2 on Duckstation, GT2's AI is even more intense sometimes idiotic then TDU:SC's but the control responsiveness, every drivetrain's characteristic is apparent that was way ahead of it's time, at least the core feels like mid 2000s with limited graphics, not like TDU:SC feel like games from 2010 in 2024, with unexpectedly ♥♥♥♥ graphics and rendering
