If you have extra real money to burn on the game purchase, then the Gold edition is still worthwhile because it gives you free cars in every class except H (Hypercar). There isn't anything special about them, except that they are exclusive to Gold edition. I mean, they are good cars, but they aren't meta/leaderboard cars.
You can definitely progress through the entire game using only those Gold edition cars (I did it with them stock, so I didn't even waste any money on upgrades ... it's probably even easier now that AI difficulty can be customized), and by the time you unlock hypercars, you have plenty of money to buy one. And you'll still have extra money to buy a few more cars you like.
The in-game economy is ridiculous, so brace yourself for that. The rewards & prize money is far too low relative to the car prices. I've been playing 200+ hours and I still can't afford all the cars I want.
I don't really understand how the clans work, with respect to Silver or Gold editions. So I can't comment there.
Are gold edition cars meta on MP? So the only way to obtain them are buying the gold edition? I dont mind grind money at the start so i feel the progress rather than getting all the cars like FH5 by 2 hours played
It's also worth noting that MP suffers from low player count, so I can't comment on MP much. Mostly I sit in lobbies and wait for nobody to show up. The only MP I've done is like what @fwyflyer describes in another thread, where you join a group with steam friends. But then, you're racing with friends and can coordinate what cars you pick, for fun. Not like MP with randos where everyone uses the meta cars.
