Nice, shame that TDUSC is even a mess on the RTX5080. My laptop was in need of an upgraded and now that the RTX 5xxx series has been announced sellers are trying to get rid of old stock. I bought a TUF Gaming A15 and it's a really nice machine. Never had a TUF before, but it's impressive. It's not the highest spec one they have, but I didn't want to spent too much on it. You won't hear me complain having paid €700 for a TUF Gaming with RTX4060, AMD Ryzen 7 7435HS and 32Gb of RAM. Only the 512GB SSD is a bit small, but the laptop has an extra SSD slot, so my 1TB SSD from the old laptop is now in it too. Enough space for work and a some room for a couple of games. Mainly will be used for video edition, digital painting and some AI image generation.
Nice specs :-) That should run anything you throw at it nicely. My old laptop was literary falling apart, so I had to replace it with something. Could work anymore on it. I do have a pc in my studio, but when doing work on location or in the evenings, I don't use that. Laptop is very handy to have. My pc has the same i7 as yours, only a generation older and I maxed it out with 64Gb, the most the motherboard can handle. It has the Intel ARC a770, that was the only graphic card offering 16Gb at the time within my budget. Don't use it for gaming, only work and for that the ARC runs very well. The only game I tried on it was FH4, with everything maxed out and it ran great and looked very nice. For gaming I still prefer a console, playing on a big screen :-) and having games that are better optimized without having to adjust all kinds of settings.
I'm more of an occasional gamer when I do have time. After this reply I will have the whole evening... hopefully :-) I do have a Switch Lite the only game I play on it is Animal Crossing. My daughter and granddaughter play it as well, so we visit each other. I played Minecraft on it for a while, but my building project got out of hand and the Switch couldn't handle it.., out of memory. Moved it back to my laptop now. Once in a while I work on it. Wanted to move it to the Xbox, but you need gamepass for that. They've blocked copying from a drive now :(
